    The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star water bottle is the useless bamboo on the top. It's absolutely unnecessary, and actually creates a bit of an issue when washing the bottle because the top is not supposed to be put in the dishwasher. Why not just skip the bamboo, save on trees and labor, AND leave the entire bottle dishwasher safe?

  • Boil water on open fire at 12/28/12 12:55 PM
    • With the lid removed could this bottle be used on an open fire to boil water?

    • Hello!  A rep from Klean Kanteen told me yes, this specific bottle can be used over open fire to boil water.  The rep said he wouldn't necessary submerge it in the flames, but holding the bottle over the flames is ok.  Only "classic" style bottles can be put on heat, and definitely not the painted bottles.  Hope this helps!
