  • Chi-F and Digestron at 2/29/12 10:49 AM
    • Hello!

I'm planning to try Chi-F for PMS and menstrual cramps. I also have impaired digestion. I'm wondering if taking Chi-F and Digestron together is acceptable?

Thanks in advance for your response!
      Carla
    • Carla - Chi-F and Digestron may be useful for your symptoms. Consider also Magnesium Plus - 1 capsule in the AM and 1 in the evening. http://www.healthegoods.com/magnesium-plus-100-vegetarian-capsules-seeking-health.html Magnesium and B6 levels are usually low in those with PMS and cramps. Taking 2 capsules of Optimal Fish Oil daily with lunch or dinner http://www.healthegoods.com/optimal-fish-oil-60-softgels.html Low essential fatty acids make for painful menses and PMS. Consider Castor Oil Packs over the abdomen as well - one nightly. You can Google how to do these - they are very effective. These things should help you! Best Dr Ben

Does chi f have actual phytoestrogens? I'm getting Chinese cupping to relieve cellulite, but don't know what to do w/ suppolements - what happends if I just quit trying to supplement w/ phytos ...
    • Hello -

You have great points. Please discuss these with your doctor. I recommend discussing them with your gynecologist or naturopathic physician. Labs need to be ordered here and evaluted before any recommendations are made.

      In health,

  • Myomin and Chi-F at 6/8/12 9:36 AM
    • Hello. I take Myomin for ovarian cysts and have had a lot of relief from the cysts bursting that I used to experience every 6 months like clockwork. I recently, however, have experienced severe acne breakouts, mental fogginess, chronic heartburn and digestion issues.

I was wondering if combining Chi-F would help with the break outs and perhaps further my hormonal balance. Last saliva test I did before beginning Myomin showed high estrogen, low progesterone and slightly high testosterone. I am 28 years old and have always had ovarian problems since I was 9 years old.

Also, what would you suggest for my heartburn and digestion issues? It has gotten so bad that I can hardly have one cup of coffee or wine and have to stay away from anything spicy or I am sick for days. I also have trouble with candida, so maybe my pH is off? Would Myomin affect that? Thank you for any advice.
    • Hello -

There are multiple things going on which are best addressed through lifestyle, diet and supplementation.

Digestive issues combined with hormonal imbalances and heartburn can have numerous causes and various different treatments.

In this case, I recommend a 30 minute consult so you will receive accurate suggestions of how to tackle these three issues.

You may call 800 689 8221 to RSVP a consult during a time that works well for you.

I look forward to helping you regain your health.

      Best,

      Dr Ben
