Chi's Enterprise Synergen, 120 caps

Synergen's herbal formula provides natural respiratory support and may effectively combat the symptoms of allergies, asthma, and chronic respiratory problems.

Synergen contains all natural herbal extracts of:

  • • Scrophulariae
  • • Rehmannia
  • • Psoraleae
  • • Epimedium

These herbs have been traditionally used to tonify the lungs in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years.

Epimedium has been studied for its use in asthma attacks. A study showed that Epimedium alleviated airway inflammation by decreasing the activities of two proteins that play an active role in recruiting lelukocytes into inflammatory areas in lung tissues.

Psoralea has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help calm inflamed airways.

Scrophularia is used in traditional Chinese medicine to detoxify, treat swollen and sore throats, and to treat syndromes of deficiency of the lungs and kidneys such as coughing, sore throats, and night sweats.

Rehammnia has been used to relieve conditions associated with inflammation and fevers, including asthma.

Over 605 of individuals with seasonal respiratory conditions have immunoglobin E (IgE) levels that are remarkably high. When an allergen attaches to a cell's IgE, the cAMP system is triggered. Histamines are then released and symptoms such as coughing, runny nose, allergic reactions and shortness of breath arise. Synergen adjusts the hypothalamus-pituitary adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) system to increase target cells' cAMP and beta-receptor function. It also reduces the IgE level and stops histamine release.

A five year study on 1000 asthma patients, mostly older patients, showed that 69.8% of them demonstrated an increase in recovery when Synergen is taken before an allergy sensitive season.

Older adults who frequently get respiratory conditions during the winter will benefit the most by taking Synergen before the arrival of winter cold season.
