    • Dr.Ben, I have a little doggie Id like to know what herb or oil I can put directly on her gums to get rid of bacteria in her mouth then after a putting that on a soothing for her gums. Thank you so much for all your answers, brenda kisses and junior
    • I recommend looking for a dog 'probiotic' and getting them on that. Beneficial bacteria in the gut help balance the bacteria in the mouth. There must be a specially formulated pet probiotic that is reputable. I also recommend evaluating the food you are feeding her. Consider stopping all standard pet food and give her beef, chicken, broths, bone broth, etc. This way you will see if food is the issue. Most pet foods are literally crap in my mind. Also make sure you are giving her filtered water in a stainless steel food bowl. If you are giving her breads or dairy products as treats - stop. Folic acid is very useful for gum health in humans - and likely pets as well - so is CoQ10. You can give her a few drops of this CoQ10 daily http://www.healthegoods.com/coq10-liposome-tincture-2oz.html Look for a liquid folic acid and put 1 drop in her water or food daily. Give about 50 mcg daily or so. Best Dr Ben

    • is clove bud good for tooth aches can it be put in the mouth
    • Hello - I'm impressed that you know this ;) What you do is get a cotton ball, break it into a smaller piece and place a drop or two of the Clove Bud Essential Oil on it. Then place by your toothache and let it sit there. It is safe yes - as long as you are not pregnant, breast feeding or placing it directly on your gums. Best Dr Ben
