Question:

Dr. Ben, Some docs recommend taking more of a vitamin/mineral than the daily recommended...is this product safe to take in a higher dosage? Twice/day maybe? With diagnosed hyperthyroid, as well as excessive stress, I'm being told to specifically increase my B vitamins...It appears that the levels are very low in comparison to the recommended daily allowance. I am also concerned about the calcium. I typically take my vitamins after taking Armour and wait at least 4 hrs to take any minerals since calcium is known to interfere with Armour's absorption. Should this product then be taken at lunch/dinner if that's the case? Thank you.

Answer:

Hi there - You seem quite on the ball ;) Great questions and well thought out. LiquiNutrients is best to take 1 hour after you take your thyroid medication. Calcium does interfere with the absorption of thyroid medication. Do not take any multivitamin within 4 hours of bedtime as the B vitamins and other energy nutrients may interfere with your sleep. Taking more nutrients than the recommended daily amount is quite common for many conditions. However, one must be cautious with this as excess nutrients also cause conditions or aggravate them. Hyperthyroidism increases anxiety which increases fatigue which increases adrenal insufficiency which goes back and affects the thyroid. A tough cycle.
