QUESTION:
I have started taking a nutritional support for thyroid containing the following ingredients:
- Rhodymena palmetta
- Thyroid 100 mg
- Adrenal 50 mg
- Ltyrosine
- Selenuim
- Bladderwrack
- Irish moss
- Pituitary 15 mg
- Thymus 5mg
- Spleen 5mg
- Calcarea fluorica
- Lycopus virgincus
Question is, I have been on it for 5 days and have GAINED 4-5 lbs. Have I suppressed my thyroid instead of stimulating it? I feel tired and weird, not necessarily bad though. What is the best herbal solution to those last 5-10 stubborn pounds if this isn't it?
Thanks!

ANSWER:
Gained:
That is a potent supplement - one that a doctor should only prescribe in my eyes. I would stop taking it. This mixture is affecting your hormone levels big time.
L-tyrosine is a precuror to numerous hormones and is not to be played with. The other main ingredients are also potent.
What was your desired effect by taking this product? Perhaps I can help point you in the safe proper direction! ;)
In health,
Ben
