Q: What do you have for shingles. I am over most of it but still have residual issues. Thanks.
A: I recommend you go to a pharmacy and obtain Capsaicin ointment. Apply topically to your scalp where the pain remains. Apply as needed.
You may also try applying apple cider vinegar directly to the sores on your scalp. I have been told this relieves the pain but have not heard results personally. It is worth a shot.
To get rid of the shingles, it is important to boost your immune response in order to get the herpes zoster virus under control.
To get your immune system working well, there is an immune formula designed specifically for shingles.
LarreaPlus by Biogenesis is what I recommend to those suffering from shingles. Consider taking 2 capsules three times a day initially to speed up the immune response. I have had great success using LarreaPlus with those suffering from Shingles.
Taking 1000 IU of Vitamin B12 three times a day is also suggested to improve pain relief. Vitamin B12 protects the covering around the nerves and helps rebuild it when damaged. Thus, this reduces the pain and restores nerve health.
Once the pain is reduced, continue taking Vitamin B12 at 1,000 IU per day for 2 weeks after in order to fully heal your nerves.
Fish oil is a potent anti-inflammatory when taken in doses of 5 grams a day. It also protects the nerves thereby decreasing pain. If taking a liquid fish oil, one can obtain 5 grams of EPA/DHA in 3 teaspoons. I recommend this fish oil supplement.
It tastes quite good so that is not an issue. Make sure you take the Fish Oil with food for best absorption. You may take it once a day at dinner if you like or space it out throughout the day. Three teaspoons of Fish Oil should not cause any bowel disturbances if your gall bladder is intact and you take it with food.
Liquid is more cost effective than capsules. If taking capsules, you'd have to take about 10 gelatin capsules in order to obtain sufficient EPA/DHA levels to alleviate pain. If you prefer capsules, though, they may be found here.
If you are under a lot of stress, this typically causes shingles. Let me know if this is an issue and we can address that. I am not sure which product to recommend as people have different types of stress.
These tips should resolve your shingles quite effectively.
Should you have any other questions, please do ask.
