This blew me away. And if true - how cool would that be.
It is said that the sperm carrying the Y chromosome uses energy faster than the sperm carrying the X chromosome. The energy utilization is said to be due to the speed in which sperm swim. Supposedly, the Y sperm is speedy or contains less mitochondria whereas the X sperm is slower or carries more mitochondria. Mitochondria are the energy producing cellular components which are absolutely necessary for life.
Sperm contain, and can only produce, so much fuel for their journey. If one sperm type swims faster than another, the consequence of that, of course, is faster arrival - but also faster expiration.
That said, if a woman knows her cycle and when she ovulates, the odds of baby gender prediction can be in one's favor.
Sperm can reach the fallopian tubes in about 20 minutes to 2 hours. Sperm are viable for about 4-7 days inside the woman. [This is dependent upon numerous factors - on...Read More
"If the pain wanders, do not waste your time with doctors." - Mignon McLaughlin
This quote comes from The Neurotic's Notebook, 1960 and even today is highly relevant.
If pain wanders from one location to another, then doctors are not able to label you with a standard disease. Instead, the doctors will either state that it is in your head or a syndrome.
There are no standard medications for wandering pain.
Syndromes are frowned upon by insurance companies and are not reimbursed well.
From my experience, wandering pain signifies environmental exposures, food sensitivities, food allergies, and/or chemical sensitivities.
In order to get to the bottom of wandering pain, one must evaluate. Having a chart to do this with is handy.
I have created a sample chart for you below:

I am strangely hot all the time. I am a healthy 31 yo female who was on birth control pills for a couple of years for heavy periods and bad cramps. I did not like the risks and so I stopped taking them (I have been off them for more than 5 years now). I am relatively fit (exercise 3-4 times each week) eat pretty healthy except for my sweet tooth, and do not consider myself overweight. I am 5'4" at 128 pounds. Yet, I sweat all the time and feel overheated even in the winter. I work with a lot of good sized guys and I can freeze them out! I wear a short sleeved tee work shirt outside when its snowing! I asked my doctor to run some tests to check for any imbalances and she says everything is normal- Must admit I'm not sure I believe her. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
Answer: Hi Julie -
You are right to question something that appears fine in lab tests, but not in reality.
