This anti-fungal protocol is an excellent way to help prevent liver damage via Lamisil.
I had one elderly woman with long term fungal toenails report excellent results.
She also had an unexpected benefit: her plantar warts fell out from the bottom of her feet allowing her to walk comfortably for the first time in years.

Give it a shot - it is safe, effective, and inexpensive. Yes it takes some work, but popping a liver toxic Lamisil pill for 3 months daily also takes work - especially repairing the damaged liver. You only get one liver.

An immunology professor, Dr Sheryl Berman, PhD, did a study on about 35 different acidophilus companies and found that only one had the actual amount of live bacteria it claimed in the container - some of the companies stated 1 billion live bacteria per capsule and contained...none. The sachets that I provide claim 125 billion per sachet and at manufacturing have 170 billion.

Choosing a different dark beer that is less expensive may hinder your success. I have not had reports of other effective dark beers so I am not sure. You can give it a shot but you are only saving a few bucks while investing 30 days of soaking. That is pennies per day extra. Worth the risk? If you have time, it would be good to know if the others worked...if they do, let me know :)

The basic premise behind this odd sounding natural toenail fungus treatment is to soften nails with beer, create an acidic environment with vinegar which is beneficial to good bacteria and deadly to fungus and then penetrate nails with specific beneficial bacteria to help kill and prevent further recurrences.

For those in a hurry, please download the Beer Soak Instructions, save it to your computer and print them out. You'll find them very useful.

Essential Ingredients:

Acidophilus Sachets containing a specific strain of 125 billion organisms.

Guiness Stout beer or any other dark beer (Guiness is the one proven to work).

White Vinegar

Basin big enough for your feet or hands

Time

Persistence and Consistency

Natural Toenail Fungus Treatment Procedure:

In tub, pour 1 liter of room temperature beer into a basin

Add 1/2 a sachet which is 60 billion acidophilus and other strains.

Add 1 liter of White Vingear

Soak clean feet in the solution for 30 minutes before bed or when best for you.

On removing your feet or fingernails from the basin, file the nails down with a pumice stone or file

After each 3rd day, toss out the entire solution mixture and remake using the formula: 1 liter of white vinegar, 1 liter of dark beer and the remaining half of one sachet. This keeps the solution's ingredients in active live form. If too old, it will not work.

Repeat for 30 days every day. Do not skip a day for best results.

Do twice a day for faster results

What to look for:
As fungus gets killed by this natural toenail fungus treatment, you will notice new nail growth from the nail base coming in clear. This is a good sign. Some people see clearing at the base within one week and some people see clearing at the base in one month. It all depends on how fast your nails grow and how often you soak them.

Make sure you do this toenail fungus treatment daily. Make it a routine. Watch some TV, read a book or wash the dishes for 30 minutes.

If you know your nails grow slowly, then consider MSM or Silicea 6x cell salts as they have shown to increase nail growth.

This anti-fungal protocol is an excellent way to help prevent liver damage via Lamisil.

I estimated the total cost of this procedure to be about $200.00 That is very inexpensive compared to Lamisil - and much healthier to your liver.

Even if you drink a couple Guiness Stout while you do the soak - it may still be safer than Lamisil on your liver. :)

I have had over 42,000 people read this information and a decent percentage email me.
Toenail Fungus Treatment using Saprox

Saprox Natural Antifungal Mud has shown that it eradicates skin fungus. I had my doubts that it could work with tinea unguim (toenail fungus).

Toenail fungus is tough to treat leading many people to take a liver toxic drug: Lamisil.

Some photos of before, during and after treatment of 2 patients using only Saprox for the treatment of toenail fungus:

Left Photo: mild case of Tinea unguim beginning at the nail's edge - where most fungus begins due to either a moist alkaline environment OR trauma. Trauma causes the nail bed to lift thereby allowing the critters to crawl under the nail and set up shop.

Bottom Photo: mild case of Tinea unguim treated successfully using Saprox.

_____________________________________________________________

A more severe case of toenail fungus treated with only Saprox:

Left Photo: taken at 10 days into the treatment. Notice the clearing at the base of the nail. This suggests that the Saprox treatments is working.

Bottom Photo: Taken at 20 days into the treatment. Notice the further clearing at the base of the nail. Also notice that the skin area around the nail is becoming healthier.
_______________________________________________________

Toenail showing fresh application of Saprox:

Application:
After bathing or showering, dry nail well. A warm nail is more permeable to the sulfur-containing mud found in Saprox - this is why I suggest after bathing.

Put just enough Saprox on to cover the nail(s) well. Push Saprox under the nail and around the nail bed.

Saprox dries in about 15 minutes. You may wash it off at this time or leave it on all day. I recommend leaving it on all day as it keeps the area dry preventing warm moisture from feeding the fungus.

Then at the end of the day, remove your socks, wash feet and nail. Dry and reapply. Go watch TV or sleep.

Recommend that you place some kleenex or toilet paper around the affected nails containing Saprox as this keeps it from touching your socks. Then put on your socks. Or you may walk around your home barefoot.

_________________________________

A research abstract describing how Saprox works:

The use of sulfur in dermatology.

Gupta AK, Nicol K.

Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine, Sunnybrook And Women's College Health Science Center, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. agupta@execulink.com

Sulfur has antifungal, antibacterial, and keratolytic activity.

How to Heal Your Liver if you have taken Lamisil:

Lamisil is liver toxic and so much so the FDA has a warning out on the dangers of it.

An excerpt from the FDA report:

“… Lamisil® have been associated with serious hepatic toxicity, including liver failure and death, including some cases involving patients who had neither pre-existing liver disease nor a serious underlying medical condition.”

There are two nutrients that are highly effective in restoring liver health and function. (Please note that some liver damage is irreverseable but many times damage to the liver can be repaired.)

N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine: This nutrient is commonly shortened and known as NAC. NAC is found in high amounts in healthy liver and lung tissue. However, when the liver is under attack, NAC levels are typically very low. Add NAC to support liver health and help process toxins.

Taurine: Taurine is an essential liver nutrient which can only be used by people with gall bladders. If you have no gall bladder, take only NAC. Taurine is the major amino acid needed to help remove toxic chemicals and their metabolites from the body,

Effective foods which promote liver health are: beets, artichokes, kale, garlic, turmeric spice, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower

Please note: Fungus is due to either a weak immune system, trauma to the nail area, high refined carbohydrate diet or recent or long term use of antibiotics.
Because Lamisil is deadly and I'm tired of hearing/seeing/reading about all the bulls&#t home remedies out there that do not work.

Toenail Fungus Treatments That DON'T work

Vick's vapor rub - this may be effective if on infant toenails and in only the mildest of cases. I'm not impressed with it though.

Tea Tree Oil - alone it is garbage. If it is mixed with another ingredient, it will be more effective in the beginning stages. Look below.

Topical creams, oils, lotions in pharmacies and drugstores - crap. They may claim to work but they do not. Save your money. Read the fine print. Even if it is called Toenail Fungus Blaster, the back of the package will read, 'not for toenail fungus.' Go to there and read yourself - I'm serious!

Copper ionotophoresis - forget it. All you are doing is driving toxic copper into your bloodstream. Plus, it is costly.

Toenail Fungus Treatments That Work

Now do not get all excited. It takes commitment on your part to get an effective treatment. More often than not, a month of daily effort is needed to rid yourself of the toenail fungus. It is also a matter of severity. If your toenail fungus is so bad that your nails are 1/4" thick and curling, you will need to have them surgically removed.

I will provide the effective toenail fungus treatments in order of most severe to least severe:

Surgical removal of nail --> Lamisil --> Acidophilis Beer Soak --> DMSO/Tea Tree --> Vicks

Surgical Removal of Toenail Fungus: This is the worst case scenario obviously. If you toenails are so thickened and curling, it is nearly impossible to effectively treat these nails with anything. You can try the other treatments I suggest but the likelihood of success may not be what you want.

Lamisil: This stuff is not just extremely expensive. It is extremely hepatotoxic - liver damaging. Don't trust me on this? The FDA put out a Lamisil warning. Read it. I took it as I didn't know about the other treatments. I didn't need surgery as the toenail fungus wasn't so gnarly but Vick's didn't work and Tea Tree oil didn't work. So while in Russia, I bought up enough Lamisil to fix me up and swallowed it for 2 months daily. Ouch. Luckily I only paid about $125 for the Lamisil. Here in the USA you are talking about $1500 dollars plus for enough Lamisil to effectively treat the fungus. That hurts - especially when insurance doesn't cover it. What else hurts is one's liver. The metabolites of Lamisil are truely damaging to the liver so I recommend talking with a trained Naturopathic physician about how to repair your liver during and after the Lamisil treatment. Luckily, the liver is one tough organ. Did you know that you can lop off 1/3rd of your liver and it will grow back!?! Truely.

Acidophilis Beer Soak: Sounds hilarious and like a gimmick but believe me, the little fungal critters under your nail start running when they taste bacteria-riddled Guiness Stout. I would never believe in this remedy had it not come from a respected professor/doctor of mine. He has used it effectively all but once. That one time was due to him using capsule acidophilis, lite beer and apple cider vinegar. That won't work.

What to do:

Buy dark beer, white vinegar, sachets of acidophilis

Get a tub big enough for the treatment area (cat boxes are good - new ones please!)

Add 1 liter of room temperature dark beer, 1 liter of white vinegar, 50 billion acidophilis bacteria.

Soak feet in this solution for 20 minutes before turning in at night.

Repeat using the same solution but add just enough hot water (not boiling) to make the solution warm.

After every 3rd day, dump out the solution and make it new from scratch using the remaining 1/2 of the sachet, 1 liter of dark beer and 1 liter of white vinegar. Making the solution every 3rd day is key as the bacteria and beer must be maintained fresh in order to be successful.

Do this daily for 30 days or until you see normal healthy toenail growth appearing.

You may also repeat the soaking in solution two times a day.

This will work. If you follow the directions as I've written them, your toenail fungus, tinea unguinum, onchomyosis - whatever you want to call it - will be dead and you again will have pretty nails. I promise.

DMSO and Tea tree oil treatment for toenail fungus: This may work but only in situations when the fungus is not severe. If the nail just shows sign of being infected, then give this a shot.

What to do:

Go to your local store and buy some DMSO and tea tree oil.

Clean and scrape your nails really well with water and soap.

Apply in equal parts [with a cotton ball or swab] a light layer of DMSO (99%) and tea tree or thuja essential oil to the toenail fungus.

Put a bandaid over the nails.

Repeat three times a day. Yep. 3x a day. Want the fungus gone? Good. 3 times a day

Remember - this only is effective if the tonail fungus is not severe. If you want it to really work, do the beer soaks.

Vicks Vapor Rub treatment for toenail fungus: I haven't seen it work but pediatricians claim that it does. Little kids' toenails are not so thick and supposedly the menthol penetrates and kills the fungus. My 2 year old had toenail fungus and this didn't kill it. It helped slow it down that's all.

So that is it. Those are the effective treatments. You can send a hug in the mail when you see your fungus gone. And you can also tell people about this awesome blog entry - I truely want to help the public gain health without drugs and this entry should definitely help.

All the ingredients written about are easy to obtain except the urea paste. This has to be prescription from a physician. Key Pharmacy in Renton, Washington sells it and ships it all over the world. They also add tea tree and DMSO in it. Advise your physician about this awesome pharmacy.

If you have a fungal infection of any other type on your body such as: tinea versicolor, tinea crura, tinea pedis, jock itch, atheletes foot, cradle crap, then I recommend Saprox Natural Antifungal Treatment. Saprox is a natural antifungal mud from the Czech Republic. It works quickly and effectively. Simply apply it, let it dry and wash off once or twice a day until the fungus is gone. Saprox has not been proven to eliminate toenail fungus but if mixed with DMSO, it just may.

If you have any questions about what I have written about, do email me. I'll help you.

In health,
Ben
