Today we are releasing a dramatically expanded and improved version of our popular cosmetics and personal care products database, Skin Deep. The site has been redesigned top to bottom, and we've added ratings for nearly 10,000 more products.

Now in its fourth year and third major update, our Skin Deep product safety database provides safety ratings for nearly 25,000 personal care products - almost a quarter of all products on the market - and the 7,000 ingredients they contain. Due to gaping loopholes in federal law, companies can put virtually any ingredient into personal care products. Even worse, the government does not require pre-market safety tests for any of them. Our aim is to fill in where companies and the government left off.

Skin Deep is the only tool available to consumers to assess and compare the safety of personal care products.

• Limit the intake of sugar, dairy, red meats, nuts, beans.
• Go to town munching on vegetables, fruits, organic chicken and organic eggs, brown rice, wild red or pink salmon and pure water.
• Avoid farmed fish!
• Avoid the Dirty Dozen Fruits and Vegetables! Eat the safe ones!
• Exercise daily for 15-30 minutes - any form whatever you like. Ease up to 30 minutes.
• Get 8 hours of sleep - extremely important.
• Drink pure water - filtered in a non-toxic water bottle is best.
  
• Shower and bathe in chlorine free water.
• Avoid eating fast food.
• Avoid eating anything white (anything made with refined flour, white ric...

• Get a Klean Kanteen stainless steel water bottle. Which one? I recommend getting the Klean Kanteen with the Loop Top or Sport top. Why? Because these two tops are stainless steel where it connects with the bottle and where it touches the contents. The Sport Top is all polypropylene #5 (which is supposed to be the safest plastic). The Sippy spout is made from polypropylene #5 and also where baby sucks is silicon - which is supposedly quite safe.
• Get reusable shopping bags made from cotton or hemp or burlap. Trader Joe's sells them as do many other stores. Get them and stop those baggers ...

Eat wild alaskan salmon.

The Red Salmon and Pink Salmon are the best options as they are not as big of fish. The bigger the fish the more they eat other fish. More a fish eats other fish, the more PCB's and heavy metals they bioaccumulate. The more big fish and farmed fish you eat, the more PCB's and heavy metals you bioaccumulate. The more you bioaccumulate, especially as a woman, the more your future child is born with.

Proven. Fact. No BS.

If you see Atlantic Salmon - do not buy it. It is farmed fish.


Hopefully some day we will convince the FDA that farmed fish is extremely deadly. I do not see what their hangup is.
