You're hearing it in the news I hope.
California state is now suing 20 big name manufacturers for having high amounts of lead in their toys.
Who are these manufacturers:
- Mattel
- Target
- Costco
- K-Mart
- Toy-R-Us
At those stores.
It is not only toys made in China that are the problem. The problem lies in the fact that our lame government doesn't prohibit high lead levels in toys.
The government only suggests that toys don't contain more than a certain amount - meaning they do not enforce it.
So California state is creating a law requiring manufacturers to label if their toys are high in lead or not. This will help us parents and shoppers know which manufacturers are in toy-making only for the money - not for the safety of our kids.
If you are wondering why Autism, Asthma, Allergies, ADD/ADHD are so prevelant - now you know yet another potential cause.
Manufacturers not caring for your kids.
Take a stand and be careful what you buy.
