What if I told you that taking 1 to 2 minutes in the morning to make a smoothie will help you lose weight?
I am going to right now.
Making this smoothie in the morning will help you lose weight!
The key to losing weight is having the right ingredients, eating at the right time and combining these two together.
Making a smoothie with the following ingredients during the morning hours will definitely make an impact on what is around your waist.
You do not have to be a cook, chef or have a fancy kitchen. Just a blender, a desire to eat well and the following ingredients:
- Get out your favorite blender. It really does not matter which brand you use.
- I prefer a Glass unit for the top part of your blender as plastic leaches BPA which is shown to increase weight.
- Add 2 cups of filtered water to the blender.
- Using unfiltered water adds chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals and other unwanted compounds to your system.
- A comprehensive water filter removes these toxins.
- It is known that toxins increase weight gain.
- Add 1 cup of wild blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries.
- Frozen berries are best as it gives the smoothie a nice cool feeling.
- I should also mention that frozen berries are usually better nutrition as they are frozen immediately after harvest. This locks in their vitamin content. The fresh berries get on trucks and sit around in the light which degrades their vitamin value.
- Do not use bananas as they spike your blood sugar too much which causes weight gain.
- Add 1 Tablespoon of Finest Pure Fish Oil to the smoothie.
- Research shows lower amounts of EPA and DHA in obese patients. When supplementing with EPA and DHA, decreased weight around the abdomen and hips was noted.
- When supplementing with omega 3 fatty acids, and especially EPA and DHA, the unhealthy fatty acids become less dominant. As the unhealty fatty acids become less dominant, decreased inflammation and increased weight loss is seen.
- This research article on Omega 3 Fatty Acids and Weight Loss provides some insight. There is no need to read it all. Read the abstract, discussion and conclusion.
- This fish oil is like no other. It actually enhances the taste of the smoothie and gives it a creamier texture. If my kids complain of a smoothie, it usually means I did not add the fish oil - seriously.
With these ingredients added, close the blender! and blend for a few moments.
Once the ingredients are nicely blended, add the remaining two ingredients below:
- Add 1 scoop of Whey Slim with L-Carnitine which provides 14 grams of pure balanced protein.
- Having a healthy dose of protein in the morning keeps you going for hours. You will likely not have to eat until lunch time.
- Side effects of having protein for breakfast include improved moods, decreased anxiety, more focus and reduced binging and snacking.
- Losing weight with Whey Slim is possible due to the high quality whey protein isolate, no fat and extremely low carbohydrate content. Add 400 mg of L-carnitine to the whey protein isolate and you have a potent formula for weight loss.
- If you cannot tolerate dairy products, then do not use Whey Slim. I have an alternative protein powder for you below.
- Add 1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds which provides calcium, fiber, minerals and an increased sense of fullness.
- Chia Seeds are shown to increase the sense of satiety for hours just as Whey Protein Isolate.
- The benefit of adding Chia Seeds goes beyond increased satiety. Chia Seeds also provide fiber which binds toxins. Research shows Chia Seeds to be effective at binding toxins and allowing the body to eliminate them via the stool.
- For best effect of the Chia Seeds, grind them in a coffee mill or grain mill just prior to adding them to the blender. It is not a good idea to buy Chia Seed Meal as it will be rancid by the time you use it. It is always best to grind your seeds and nuts just prior to use to prevent pro-oxidation in your body.
That is all the ingredients. Now close the top of the blender and blend again for a brief moment. I recommend pulsing the blender on/off/on/off for a few seconds.
Blending whey protein for too long will denature the protein. This means it will destroy the beneficial immune boosting nutrients of the protein. We do not want that and we prevent it by not blending it for long periods of time.
Do this a few days a week for breakfast and you'll have an energy packed, attention providing smoothie that will also result in weight loss.
Let me know how it goes!
Can't tolerate Whey Protein? Have or suspect a Dairy Allergy? Then switch out Whey Slim with L Carnitine for BioCleanse Functional Food Powder.
- If you suspect you have a dairy allergy, then do not use Whey Slim. BioCleanse Functional Food Powder is rice protein based so it will still help with weight loss.
- BioCleanse Functional Food Powder is designed to assist the body in removing toxins. As mentioned before, removing toxins also reduces weight gain.
I also am not a fan of eating the same food each day and every day especially if is protein based.
- If one eats the same source of protein each day, be it whey protein, beef, chicken, quinoa or others, the potential of developing food intolerances to it increase tremendously.
- Thus, I recommend people alternate between types of protein sources.
- Have a smoothie using Whey Slim one day, another day use BioCleanse Functional Food Powder and another day switch to simply grinding up almonds that were soaking overnight.
- This way, you have limited the potential for food intolerances (which are minor food allergies by the way but still have significant symptoms).
