Q. What Probiotic is best used to treat Candida (yeast condition)?
A. I am glad to see you thinking of a long term resolution to treating candida instead of just killing it.
I cannot tell you how many patients, and doctors, think that simply killing candida will make it go away for good.
Absolutely wrong thinking.
The best probiotic to help treat candida is one that contains multiple species of beneficial bacteria and in very high amounts.
This way, the multi-species beneficial bacteria have a better chance to take hold and implant themselves into the small and large intestine thereby altering the pH and killing the candida. In order to alter the pH and have the beneficial bacteria crowd out and kill the candida, very high amounts are required. When I say high amounts I mean in the 100's of billions.
There is one probiotic that contains 12 species of beneficial bacteria in high amounts. One half teaspoon of ProBiota 12 Powder contains 200 billion beneficial bacteria in twelve strains.
Consider taking 1/2 teaspoon of ProBiota 12 Powder during dinner time until the bottle is finished.
Once the bottle is finished, switch to ProBiota 12 capsules and take 1 capsule with dinner as ongoing support.
You will likely notice significant gas as the candida die-off due to the ProBiota taking hold. This is a good sign; however, it is good to support the die-off so you do not get headaches.
I recommend you take 1 gram of vitamin C every hour along with some fiber in the form of Chia Seeds, almonds, walnuts, oatmeal, whole grains, pumpkin seeds or any type of bulking fiber. This way the gas is more absorbed and the vitamin C help reduce the oxidizing gas released by the dying candida.
I also recommend that you take Molybdenum, N-acetyl-l-cysteine and a B vitamin complex to process the acetylaldehyde that will be released from candida. These nutrients help prevent the hangover feeling of candidiasis.
I have treated countless patients with Candida successfully with these recommendations.
There are dietary changes of course that need to change and if you need additional help with those, do let me know.
Let me know how you are doing in a few weeks time.
