Q: I suffer from acid reflux and take the Gastric Repair Complex. It works but, I also suffer from gas bloating, constipation and upset stomach. Will UltraGest help better or could I take both?

A: Hello -

I am glad to hear that Gastric Repair Complex is helping reduce your symptoms of acid reflux.

It makes sense that you also have gas, bloating, constipation and upset stomach as these symptoms are commonly found along with acid reflux.

UltraGest may significantly help gas, bloating, constipation and upset stomach because low stomach acid is associated with these symptoms.

In fact, low stomach acid is associated with acid reflux. Thus, all your symptoms may benefit from UltraGest in the long run.

Right now, it is best that you continue taking Gastric Repair Complex until symptoms of acid reflux are less painful.

During large meals, take 1 capsule of UltraGest. See if 1 capsule of UltraGest helps reduce your symptoms of gas, bloating, constipation and upset stomach. If one capsule of UltraGest is not enough, take 2 capsules with your next meal.

You may continue increasing the dose of UltraGest until you feel a slight burning sensation in your stomach. Once you feel this, then you take one less capsule.

So if you took 3 capsules of UltraGest during a meal and you felt a slight burning in your stomach, you can only take 2 capsules of UltraGest at your next meals.

Typically, people do not have to exceed taking 2 capsules of UltraGest during meals.

It is important to note that you take UltraGest only during meal time. Do not take it when you have a small snack. One needs to have ample food in the stomach for UltraGest to work properly.

If you have taken antibiotics anytime in the last 5 years and not taken a high potency probiotic, then I highly recommend you obtain the high potency probiotic.

Research shows those suffering from acid reflux, constipation, gas, bloating and upset stomach may benefit from taking probiotics.

I recommend ProBiota 12 probiotic capsules as they contain 50 billion healthy bacteria per serving across 12 different species. Probiotics that have a limited number of species or only a few billion are not sufficient to re-establish healthy digestive bacteria. Take 2 capsules of ProBiota 12 at the end of your dinner. Once the first bottle of ProBiota 12 is gone, then you may reduce to taking only 1 capsule during dinner.

Do not take UltraGest and ProBiota 12 capsules at the exact same time. It is best to take UltraGest midway through the meal and ProBiota 12 at the end of your meal.

In summary, these product suggestions may significantly reduce your symptoms of acid reflux, constipation, gas, bloating and upset stomach:

  1. Continue taking Gastric Repair Complex as needed but you will likely not need it in a couple months.
  2. Take UltraGest during meal times near the beginning of the meal or midway through it.
  3. Take 2 capsules of ProBiota 12 capsules at the end of your dinner.
  4. Once the first bottle of ProBiota 12 capsules is finished, reduce the dose to 1 capsule at dinnertime and stay on this maintenance dose.

If you find certain foods causing your symptoms, avoid them as much as you can.

Foods which commonly cause acid reflux are tomatoes, wheat, spices, beer, alcohol, fried foods, high fat foods, chocolate and caffeine.
