The Importance of Cell Salts

Silica Oxide

Where is Silica Oxide Found? Silicea (Silica) is found in bones, teeth, hair, nails, glands, our skin, and in mucus membranes. This Cell Salt is made from rock crystals.

Suggested Use

Adults and children ages 6 and up: Take 4 tablets, dissolved under the tongue, 3 times daily.

Children ages 2 to 6: Take 2 tablets, dissolved under the tongue, 3 times daily.

Use more frequently (up to 8 doses) for acute or extreme conditions.

    • Hi Doctor,
      My Pilonidal cyst got diagnosed 3 months ago. Earlier it was a cyst at the tailbone. There was no infection, no drainage nothing. Then suddenly oneday some whitish puss started coming out from the upper right section near the midline. I went to see a surgeon. He recommended to drain the puss out by making a cut surgically and keeping it open. I went ahead with the process. After that he put me on antibiotics (Amoxycillin-825 mg for 7 days), the wound started healing up but suddenly after 2 weeks from the treatment, it burst and blood and little puss started coming out again. I again went to see the doctor, this time he gave antibiotics for 2 weeks. My antibiotics got over 2 weeks ago and the wound started drying up. But now again its started releasing white/yellow puss and blood. I dont want to see that doctor again. He never gave any ointment to apply on the wound just the dry gause bandage thats it. If i see him again he will recommend me a major surgery to remove the cyst all together.. I would also like to be benefitted with your advice and power of Homeopathy. Please show me a path forward.

    • Hello - 

      I would talk with another physician to get it looked at properly. There is some reason why it keeps getting infected and that source needs to be identified.

      Along with proper treatment, you may consider the Silicea 6x cell salt - 25 tablets in a liter of water drunk throughout the day along with Kali Sulph 6x - 25 tablets.

      You may also consider Contrast Hydrotherapy over the area to help encourage healing.

      Since you have a midline defect, I also recommend you have your doctor test you for the MTHFR gene mutation. To learn more about MTHFR, visit www.MTHFR.net

    • My 7-year old daughter has acne that we would like to address safely, without major chemicals. I'm wondering which salts you would recommend? Other features of her that might help: oily scalp, normal skin, whitish coating on tongue, sometimes "gassy" (flatulent or belches), mood is either very happy or very sad. We have eliminated food allergies but it has not completely cleared the acne, although is it less inflamed.

      In a liter of water mix the following:

      - Kali Phos 6x - 30 tablets- Silicea 6x - 30 tablets- Nat Mur 6x - 30 tablets- Kali Mur 6x - 30 tablets

      I also cannot recommend the Cell Salt Therapy book along with the Cell Salt Set of 12. This way you can easily and readily adapt to what she needs and have everything you need on hand in order to do so.

      I also recommend she use the Heviz Moor Mud Mask - apply nightly before bed. Allow to dry and then wash off.

      Then also install a chlorine shower filter in her bathroom as chlorine is very damaging to the skin and can aggravate and/or cause acne.

      Using a potent probiotic such as ProBiota 12 after dinner is Extremely important for skin health.

      A kids multivitamin is a good idea - you may consider giving her 1 chewable tablet of Optimal Multivitamin Chewable with breakfast and 1/2 tablet with lunch.

      These changes should help quite a bit ;)

  • Hydrocele & Hernia at 9/27/12 11:50 AM
    • My husband has had hydrocele in his testicle for a few months and a hernia in his stomach for about 1 yr. He is 54 yrs. old. I took him to a urologist and he told him that he would do surgery to drain the fluid in the testicles. We also understood that he would do the hernia repair. I kept calling the Dr.'s office to make sure that our insurance would pay for the surgery. The last time that I called to inquire, I was told that they would call me back. They finally did, the surgery was set up for Oct. 4th, 2012. They then told me that the urologist couldn't do the hernia surgery and it would be best to get it done first. Now we have another surgeon visit to go to. I found your site. Would this" Silicea" help with the hydrocele? Thank you in advance

      Silicea may help - along with Nat Mur 6x.

      These cannot hurt - only potentially help.

      Of course, continue on the path your doctor's recommend - but there is no harm in trying cell salts.

    • In the report " cervix diameter 3.9 cm with evidance of a well defiend hypo echoic ovel lesion of 31x22x21mm in size in endo-cervical canal reaching up to external Os. The lesion is seen anterioly attached to endometrial cavity at utero-cervical junction" . Is it possible to completely remove the polyp through homeopathy salts without any surgery please recommend the combination of salts if possible. Thanks for helps to the person who really in need.

    • Hello!  Almost all (99 percent) of cervical polyps are non-cancerous (benign), but all polyps should be evaluated.  About 1 percent of cervical polyps will show neoplastic change which may lead to cancer.  This is a question I suggest you present to your integrative doctor.

  • Salts & Warfarin at 1/18/13 12:01 AM
    • Just wondering if you could tell me, which, if any, salts negatively affect or interact with my warfarin use. I may be on long term anti coagulation and seek homeopathic 'cures' to common ailments.
      I am 27 and have frequent bouts of acne. It seems like I've given a lot of different things a fair and honest chance, to no avail. Wondering if silica particularly interferes with Warfarin absorption.

    • Hello -

      Cell salts will not interfere with Warfarin.  I recommend adding 30 tablets to a liter of water and drinking throughout the day.  This way you are constantly obtaining the benefits of the cell salt along with becoming hydrated.

      A probiotic is also very useful.  Having a healthy digestive system is critical to having clean skin.  I recommend you consider taking 1-2 capsules of ProBiota 12 about 5-10 minutes after dinner.
