The Flea Trap is a safe and simple permanent appliance that uses heat and light to draw fleas from up to 25 feet away. Fleas attracted to the trap fall through the grid and meet a sticky end on the replaceable capture pad.

Trap catches 4 to 6 times more fleas than older style traps. Adult fleas are killed by the thousands on the replaceable capture pad.

If your really serious about controlling fleas and many other insects that irritate your pet whether its dog or cat this is the BEST WAY TO GO. I have used them for appx, 5 years now, keep them plugged in year around; so when the insects decide to get active I am already one step ahead. No mess to put on or around your animals neck or body. The vet found "a few" fleas on my cat and treated him with a product that would kill any fleas that go onto the cat, but told me I probably had them in my house too. I ordered 2 of these traps, one for the basement and one for the living room, which is where my cats spend most of their time. I could not believe the amount of fleas the trap in the basement caught. The one upstairs caught a few, but the problem must of been worse in the basement because the trap down there caught about 20 of them the first night. This product is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a flea problem who doesn't want to spray pesticides in their home. (Posted on 10/17/12)

This thing works awesome, I put one downstairs inside the front door by the cat dish and in 2 weeks I got 35 fleas on it, The one upstairs has a few but were not getting bites so I think the one by the door and the cat dish are taking care of the fleas...definitely worth the money (Posted on 10/17/12)

Is this safe for children? at 8/22/11 8:30 PM
- I have a curious toddler and I'm wondering if this product is safe for children. Also if I hide them behind my couch, the dresser in my bedroom, and under my sons beds will they be safe when the light is turned on? Or would the heat from the light be hot enough to catch fire?
- Hi there, The Electronic Flea Trap is safe to have around children. The sticky capture pad is secured under a grid. Children are not able to come in contact with the sticky pad unless they remove the grid - it is wise to remind children not to do so. The heat from the light is not hot enough to catch fire; however as a precautionary measure I recommend placing the flea trap several inches away from any bedding or paper materials. Placing the flea trap behind your couch and dresser is not hazardous. Best, Jatone Customer Support Representative

Is this good for flying gnats? at 9/8/11 6:22 PM
- I have gnats in my kitchen, very tiny, but they fly. I have no pets, somehow got into the house, possibly from supermarket. I don't want to spray my new rugs and furniture, but I understand these may live in fabric. I got a fog, but I don't want to use it. Would your product be beneficial to me?

- Hi Doug - You have fleas or gnats? Or even Fruit Flies? It is definitely the season for all three! If you think you have Fruit Flies (tiny flies hanging around fruit) - then use this: http://www.healthegoods.com/kitchen-fruit-fly-trap-springstar.html If you have fleas, the Electric Flea Trap is excellent. There is no need to use the flea fogger and I highly advise against it. Those things are horrifically toxic to humans. You can also use Diatomaceous Earth to sprinkle on your carpets, couch and other areas to dry out the fleas. Ensure you place the flea traps in areas that the fleas are in. Obtaining three flea traps is usually the minimum in my book if you truly want to be effective. Space them throughout the infested areas. You only need one per room usually - as long as the flea trap light is visible from all angles of the room. I highly encourage you to make sure you leave the flea trap plugged in all evening - and even all day in darker rooms - so the fleas see the light and hop to it. If you have gnats, get the Gnat Trap.
