New Wave Enviro's Premium 10 Stage Countertop Water Filter allows you and your family to have fresh and clean water available in your home at all times. With no plumbing included, the Countertop Water Filter is extremely easy to set up and use--just attach it to your faucet and you're ready to go!

The Premium 10 Stage Countertop Water Filter removes contaminants by bonding the contaminants with the media inside the filter. The filter removes or greatly reduces contaminants such as chlorine, cancer causing organic/chlorine compounds, bad odors, pesticides, herbicides, PCB's, lead, cadmium, organic arsenic, asbestos, micro-organisms (protozoa and cysts) such as cryptosporidium and giardia, and dozens of other lesser known organic contaminants.

The Countertop Water Filter lasts three times as long as the common carbon block filters and removes up to 1,500 gallons of water vs. 500 for the common filters. The Premium 10 Stage Water Filter can also be used under your sink by accessorizing with the Under Counter Sink Adapter.

Inside the 10 Stage Countertop Water Filter:

Stage 1: 100 micron sponge filter. Traps larger solids (sediments) such as RUST.

Stage 2: 8 oz. of KDF-55. KDF-55 is a patented alloy. It removes free chlorine and some heavy metals, thereby prolonging the life of the filter and is an excellent bacteriostat.

Stage 3: 10 micron felt pad. Removes smaller floating solids and separates the layers, preserving their integrity.

Stage 4: 30 cubic inches of ultra fine mesh superior coconut shell Granulated Activated Carbon (G.A.C.). G.A.C. has long been accepted by the E.P.A. and others as the premier, cost-effective way to remove chlorine, bad odor and color from drinking water. G.A.C. also removes organic contaminants such as Pesticides, Herbicides, Arsenic, Mercury and Trihalomethanes, a cancer causing organic pollutant.

Stage 5: 10 micron felt pad for Fine Sediment Removal.

Stage 6: 7 cubic inches of ion exchange resin.This resin has an exceptional affinity for Lead, and removes Lead to below minimum E.P.A. standards.

Stage 7: Additional 10 micron felt pad provides an extra buffer against Floating Sediment of any kind.

Stage 8: 7 cubic inch bed of G.A.C.. Provides extra protection against cancer causing organic pollutants.

Stage 9: 3 oz. of calcite. Calcite raises the water's pH, which lowers acidity and increases alkalinity, which many nutritionists recommend.

Stage 10: 1 micron absolute depth filter. A filter with a micron rating this small screens outcysts and protozoa, (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium), and gives the filtered water a sparkling clarity.

Using the Premium 10 Stage Countertop Water Filter:

Your Premium 10 Stage Water Filter should be replaced after every 1,500 gallons of water. This is approximately one year for a family of four, assuming that they each drink 1/2 gal. of water a day and they wash fruits and vegetables in filtered water.

Changing the water filter is extremely easy. Unlike many brands, the whole system does not have to be thrown away. The housing is simply unscrewed, the old cartridge removed and a new one dropped in.

I drink a lot of water on a daily basis. This water filter makes your water taste like it does when it's bottled. The water is crystal clear and there is never a smell or bad odor. This filter is wicked expensive, but you get a lot of pros for that con. It is supposed to take out a lot of crap and how do I know? The water tastes noticeably better, though (this is Cincinnati water I'm drinking; if I was back in Portland, Maine I wouldn't bother with a filter), so it must be doing something. It's best feature for me, however, besides the filtering power - which it boasts as being top-notch - is its usability. You hook the thing up to your facet and it shoots out better tasting and supposedly healthier water about as fast as the facet itself. Yeah, and consider that one of these wallet-busting replacement filters lasts three or four times longer than their brita counterparts. After we purchased this water filter, I can tell there's little difference between the water I buy at the store and the water from this filter. This water filter is amazing. Great price for all the things it does, the water lasts for 1500 gallons instead of the normal 500 gallons, and its the only water filter carried at the naturopathic health store we trust... (this store only carries the highest quality health store items) The ONLY negative thing anyone can even say about this filter is that it leaves flouride in the water. The only way to get flouride out of the water is to buy a reverse-osmosis water filter.(New wave enviro also carries a reverse-osmosis water filter but it is more expensive and uses alot of water in your home to produce clean water) For the money and the health benefits, this filter is an excellent choice. - Hi, My name is Cynthia From Puerto Rico. i have a problem in my house, that sink and even the Toilet accumulates a lot of Calcium, and even calcium rocks. Do you have a specific filter for that?

How about Minerals at 10/9/11 6:11 PM
- Does this water system remove the minerals as well from the water? We have been told that water systems usually do not leave any minerals in the water after filtration.
  
  Our Osomosis system takes out everything which is not good and has actually turned the tap water to become more acidic. My husband needs the minerals left in the water.

  It may reduce the amount of flouride in the water but it does not totally remove it. You will need a reverse osmosis filter or a distiller.

  The company says if you would like to know whether a specific contaminant not listed is removed by their 10 Stage Filter, please contact their friendly customer service staff at 800-592-8371. This is how you could find out about the Uranium.
