Wild Bee Organic Manuka Honey 15+ offers powerful antibiotic and medicinal properties. Manuka honey has been used for centuries for treating fevers and colds, healing skin, and treating stomach ailments. Harvested from pristine New Zealand beehives. 1 lb 2oz/ 500g
Before the advent of antibiotics, it was not unusual for an experienced medical professional to slather honey on a wound to prevent infection and hasten healing. Modern clinical observations document honey’s effectiveness in treating cuts, wounds, burns, insect bites, yeast infections, various skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, and fungal infections from athlete’s foot to ringworm. Honey is a very effective means of quickly clearing even the most heavily infected wounds, without the side-effects and potential overuse of antibiotics.
The manner in which honey heals is a synergistic interaction of five key elements:
Manuka is the Maori name for Leptospermum Scoparium, a native tree of New Zealand. Manuka has been used for centuries in traditional Maori folk medicine for treating fevers and colds and healing skin and stomach ailments. Known as "the Healing Honey of the Tea Tree," Manuka possesses strong curative properties derived from powerful antibacterial agents and high mineral content.
According to studies performed at The University of Waikaito, a few areas of New Zealand produce a Manuka honey which contains a second type of antibacterial activity in addition to hydrogen peroxide activity. This secondary activity is measured in a laboratory on a scale of 1-20 with Manuka honey testing above 10 referred to as “Active Manuka.” Amazingly, this antibacterial activity is unaffected by enzymes in the body that destroy the hydrogen peroxide components. It is also unaffected by light, heat, or time. In fact, experience has shown that some Active Manuka actually increases its level of activity over time.
Benefits of Manuka Honey:
Because of its exceptional healing powers, Active Manuka is classified as a Therapeutic Good in Australia (the equivalent to a drug registered and approved by the FDA.)
Internal uses of Active Manuka Honey:
Take 1-2 teaspoons, 3 to 4 times per day, 15 minutes before a meal for
External uses of Active Manuka Honey:
Apply topically to clean skin, and cover if desired for
Manuka honey is always great for cooking and eating straight from the spoon! Keep Manuka honey in your kitchen for a healthy treat or digestive relief, and in your first aid kit for it's incredible healing properties.

The Wild Bee New Zealand Imports, Ltd. is the project of beekeepers in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Wild Bee represent small to medium sized apiaries in New Zealand where organic beekeeping is possible due to strict environmental controls, beekeeping practices, and absence of certain diseases and pests. Wild Bee's Certified Organic products are certified through AgriQuality of New Zealand or BioGro of New Zealand. They are also accepted through the USDA NOP program as USDA organic.
Across the globe, mites and diseases such as varroa and American Foulbrood have threatened the supply of honey and the health of the honey bee. Many beekeepers have been forced to treat their bees and bee hives with chemicals and antibiotics to ensure the supply of honey. In addition, because bees collect pollen and nectar in a radius of about 3 miles from their hives, the residues of chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and GMO's used in agriculture and on public lands can appear in honey. As a result, most of the commercially-produced honey on the grocery shelves is far from being the “natural” product one would expect.
There are few places around the world where organic honey can be produced due to the intense certification process required. No chemicals or drugs are allowed in or around the bees or their hives or in the materials used to construct their hives. Additionally, all land within the bees' flying radius must be certified organic. New Zealand is an established nuclear-free zone and has been judicious in its use of chemicals in agriculture and public lands and proudly boasts locations that are environmentally pure and uncontaminated. In addition to New Zealand certification, The Wild Bee's certified organic honey is also USDA approved.
The Wild Bee is proud to bring these pure, natural, and organic products to the American dinner table. Organic honey is a limited and precious commodity and The Wild Bee wants to be sure that everyone has access to this remarkable miracle of nature.

I just got tested for H Pylori for the third time this morning, and it came back negative for the first time! I need to be honest, I had taken antibiotics treatment for the third time about 5 months ago, this is the first time I got tested since then, but the previous two antibiotics treatments had failed. I am not denying the fact that antibiotics must have helped still, but this time the only difference is that I have been eating Manuka Honey heavily since the antibiotics treatment ended. Yes, Manuka Honey might not have cleared it all by itself, but I personally believe in my case that it helped greatly to inhibit the growth of this bacteria. I am grateful to you. I will be eating Manuka Honey for the rest of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Erhan (Posted on 10/17/12)
I'm one of those rare individuals who developed gastric MALT lymphoma from h. Pylori. Most people don't realize this can happen, because it is rare. I was on so many antibiotics last year, it has been awful on my system! But I finally made a complete break with the medical community last December when they wanted to go in AGAIN and look for cancer. I trashed all my prescription medications and went totally organic vegan with food. I have since added back fish occasionally. I am doing SO MUCH BETTER NOW! And I know the honey I just started taking about a week ago is really helping with the pain. I am very excited about this! Anyway, just wanted you to know how thrilled I am. Yes, you can use this type of honey in your nose. Researchers at the University of Waikato in New Zealand have shown honey has no adverse effects on healthy tissue and can be safely inserted into cavities and sinuses to clear infection. In the same regard, please talk to your doctor before using manuka honey to treat staph infections.

Hi Shawn!
Glad you like the website! Thank you for your question. Supporters of manuka honey claim it can help with esophagitis. Manuka honey is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and in 2010, the scientific steering committee of the National Cancer Institute approved a proposal for the use of manuka honey for the reduction of inflammation of the esophagus associated with chemotherapy.
To help with esophagitis, take 1 teaspoon of manuka honey 3-4 times per day on a small square inch size piece of bread, toast or bagel, 20 minutes before meals, to coat out the internal tract, including the esophagus.
Vitamin B12 is also commonly needed in those with gastritis/reflux as B12 deficiency is common in those conditions. Consider taking 1/4 to 1/2 tablet of Active B12 5000 daily. Be sure to take the Active B12 5000 first thing upon waking - and allow it dissolve under your tongue. http://healthygoods.com/seeking-health-active-b12-5000.html
As you probably already know, diet can impact gastritis, GERD, and esophagitis. Avoid anything that exacerbates your conditions.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
