Pharmax Glutenzyme

Glutenzyme is a unique mixture of protease enzymes designed to directly target the protein matrix of cereal grains, especially wheat, and to specifically degrade the gluten component of the protein.

The result of this action is that the digestibility of all cereal proteins, and especially gluten, will be increased.

Glutenzyme is therefore appropriate for anyone who has difficulty with the digestion of cereals, especially wheat.

Glutenzyme by Pharmax is useful to have on hand if you incidentally ate any gluten-containing foods at a restaurant, home or at a friend's house for example. Glutenzyme is not meant as a replacement for gluten intolerance; it merely exists to help breakdown gluten for those who are intolerant to Gluten and those who accidentally ingest it.

    • Pharmax Glutenzyme can be used in patients with celiac disease. Should be contraindicated could explain their reasoning. thank you very much
    • Hi Jose - You are absolutely right. Glutenzyme can, and should be, used by those with Celiac Disease. Glutenzyme should be on hand in case of accidental ingestion of gluten. We merely meant that Glutenzyme should not be deemed as a tool to defeat Celiac disease allowing one to eat a bunch of gluten. I have revised the contraindication stating this thanks to your input. 'Glutenzyme by Pharmax is useful to have on hand if you accidentally or unknowingly ate any gluten-containing foods at a restaurant, home or at a friend's house, for example. Glutenzyme is not meant as a replacement for gluten intolerance; it merely exists to help breakdown gluten for those who are intolerant to Gluten and those who accidentally ingest it.' • What are the factors to be considered in patients with celiac disease?
    • Glutenzyme can be used in people with Celiac Disease - and it should be. Just don't feel that you can go and eat gluten-containing foods all the time because you have Glutenzyme 'to the rescue.' Glutenzyme is meant to support the breakdown of gluten when it is eaten accidentally or unknowingly by a person who does not respond well to it. Given the numerous foods with Gluten, having Glutenzyme on hand is a good idea for Celiacs. In health, Dr Ben
