Xylitol (“ZY-litol”) is a natural sweetener that is made from Birch tree bark and corn husks and tastes just like sugar, but has 40% less calories and creates no sugar highs or lows! You can mix it into hot or cold beverages or bake with it using it in the same quantity as you would sugar (i.e. 1 Tbsp sugar= 1 Tbsp Xylitol). Also, Xylitol does not feed intestinal yeast, and does not raise insulin or blood sugar levels.     • Dr.Ben You suggested me to give Kisses xylitol to in her food. but will this keep the bacteria out of her mouth she seems to keep getting this bacteria over and over. thanx brenda kisses and junior
    • Brenda - Need to find the source of the bacteria. Is she eating feces from cat or other animal? Is she eating dead things outside? She have a tooth abscess? Gum infection? Find a dog probiotic yet? Best Dr Ben

    • Dr.ben its brenda, the answer is the vet says she will continue getting abcesses in her mouth inside, yes i have found a probiotic but how can i prvent these abcess infection in her mouth shes doesnt eat anything bad outside etc but kisses tounge hangs long and outside it hits the ground i believe she may be picking up bacteria could that be possible. the vet doesnt tell me much I spent 1,000 dollars im upset that kisses has to go through this please help thanx dr.ben brenda kisses and junior
    • Brenda - Look for a holistic vet. They are more open to prevention rather than dealing with recurring abscesses. Best Dr Ben
