Trying to get rid of candida or other pathogenic microorganisms?  Allergic to prescription antibiotics or just trying to balance your intestinal microflora naturally? Microbiral Defense uses extracts of plants that have proven antibacterial and antifungal properties to inhibit the growth of pathogens gently.  Microbiral Defense is formulated with wormwood, green tea, and berberine extracts to provide natural support for reducing:

  • Candida albicans & other pathogenic yeasts
  • Bacterial or viral infections
  • Parasites
  • Fungal infections

Microbiral Defense by Seeking Heatlh is formulated with three plants that are prized for their antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Berberine sulfate provides broad-spectrum support against numerous potential pathogens. Artemisia absinthium, also known as wormwood, has been used for thousands of years as a medicinal herb for internal parasites. Artemisia annua, commonly known as sweet wormwood, is rich in a sesquiterpene lactone that serves as a natural defense agent for the plant. Green tea provides polyphenols that hinder microbial growth and activity. May be useful in a broad GI detoxification program or separately to support microbial balance.

  1. Excellent for candida/fungal/bacterial infection Review by Yen Hun

Excellent for candida/fungal/bacterial infection as it contains concentrates of Green Tea, Berberine Sulfate, and Wormwood with both annua and absynthium types. I have used it for 3 days now and my gas and bloating seems reduced. I hope given enough time, I would definitely fight off this nasty infection!

Thank you Dr. Ben for recommending this and other combinations to me! -- Yen -- Order #100014762 (Posted on 10/17/12)

  • Gastritis Chronic at 9/7/11 2:08 AM
    • Hello,

I noticed that the Microbial Defense contains green tea. Does it also contain caffeine? I was told to avoid caffeine due to Chronic Gastritis.

      Thanks
    • Greetings from HealthE Goods! Thank you for your question. Since the Microbial Defense does contain green tea, it also contains a small portion of caffeine -- 5 mg to be exact. To put in perspective how minute this portion is, the average cup of coffee contains around 90-150 mg of caffeine. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. • Recommended for bacterial overgrowth in colon at 2/14/12 5:53 AM
    • This was recommended to me from someone on Suzy Cohen's FB site to help with bacterial overgrowth in colon. I presently am trying olive leaf which seems to work at times. Do you recommend this product for that problem?
    • Hello - With as many types of potentially harmful bacteria in the gut, it is best to take a broad range of anti-microbials. I recommend adding in Microbial Defense to your Olive Leaf Extract. Consider taking Microbial Defense in the afternoon and evening and Olive Leaf Extract in the morning. Or you may take one for a week and then switch and add in the other for a week. I also highly recommend the addition of a potent probiotic - two of them. Make sure you take the probiotics 2 hrs away from the anti-microbials. 1) Saccharomyces Boulardii - consider 1 capsule taken right before bed - beneficial against many bacteria, yeasts and other microbes such as giardia http://www.healthegoods.com/saccharomyces-boulardii-microbial-balance-support-60-vegetarian-capsules-seeking-health.html 2) ProBiota 12 - consider 1 to 2 capsules taken right before bed. - each capsule contains 25 billion beneficial bacteria in 12 different strains http://www.healthegoods.com/probiota-12-maximum-support-50-billion-cfus-twelve-species-probiotic-60-vegetarian-capsules-seeking-health.html If you want to add in an ancient way to further increase eradication of harmful bacteria and increase absorption of nutrients, consider taking 1 tablespoon of Herbal Melange upon waking in the morning - first thing: http://www.healthegoods.com/herbal-melange-norimoor.html In health, Dr Ben

  • Mixing beneficial yeast with Microbial Defense at 8/1/12 10:36 AM
    • I heard an excellent podcast by Dr Ben on getting rid of nail fungus. And the regimen included among others Microbial Defense(MD) and Sacromycis Polarydi (SP). My concern is how are they not going to contradict each other. Since MD kills yeast and SP is beneficial yeast, how is MD not going to kill SP? Or does MD somehow only kill bad yeast? Or should I take them apart from each other? Because the regimen includes taking 2 SP pills in the morning and 2 at night. And also the MD at night. Should I take the MD two hours after the SP?

Thank you looking forward to your response/advise
    • Hello -

How I recommend it is to do the following:

      1. Begin by taking Saccharomyces Boulardii in the evening after dinner - 1 to 2 capsules - for a week
      2. Also begin taking ProBiota 12 capsules - 1 capsule after dinner - for a week
      3. Also add in Biotin 5 - one capsule - with lunch or breakfast - for a week
      4. After 1 week of doing these three, then add in Microbial Defense - and take 1 capsule with dinner.
      5. Now you have to switch taking Saccharomyces Boulardii and ProBiota 12 to taking before bed - no longer after dinner. As long as you take these two probiotics 2 hrs or more after Microbial Defense, you are getting benefit.
      6. Work up to 2 capsules three times daily of Microbial Defense - do not start this potent right away as you'll feel ill due to yeast die-off.
      7. After 2-3 months of this, you may stop the Microbial Defense and Biotin 5 and continue using the probiotics after dinner.

I highly recommend adding in some Optimal Vitamin C Powder - 1 scoop in a liter of water - and drinking throughout the day. This will support your immune system and also support glutathione levels which are useful in detoxing yeast toxins.

      In health,

      Dr Ben
