The Optimal Fish Oil 60 Softgel capsules are unique from other fish oils in that it contains Lipase. Lipase is an enzyme needed for breaking down lipids (fats). Lipase is primarily produced in the pancreas but is also produced in the mouth and stomach.

Our Fish Oil is very potent and contains a total of 1400mg of EPA/DHA.

Optimal Fish Oil by Seeking Health retain about 90% or more of their natural triglycerides forms. This is 40-50% higher than the industry standard for TG (triglyceride) fish oil concentrate products on the market.

With the addition of natural lemon flavor, mixed tocopherols as antioxidants and lipase, the digestibility and stability of the product is greatly enhanced.

Seeking Health takes the utmost care in the selection of raw materials for our products.  Optimal Fish Oil Softgels and Liquid are sourced from wild mackerel, anchovy, and sardine from the coast of Peru.  Molecular distillation and special filtration methods are used to ensure purity and to maximize the removal of heavy metals, pesticides, PCB's and other contaminants.

Third party testing also guarantees that it is free of pesticides, PCBs, dioxin, and heavy metals including mercury.

While most healthy individuals produce sufficient amounts of pancreatic lipase, everyone can benefit from its addition as it relates to better digestion of fish oils.

    • Hi I want to get a product with DHA and EPA bc I have major depression I tried numerous fish oils and krill oil but I break out from them Is there a product that wont cause my skin to be oily What about algae or spirilina do they have dha epa. I also dont do well with flax seeds they inflame my fibromyalgia Thx
    • Hello - It is difficult to say which EPA/DHA will benefit you. I do not want you to break out nor inflame your fibromyalgia. Coconut Oil may be the best. If you are breaking out from fish oils, it may be a sign that you are detoxing. Typically fish oils help one's complexion, detoxification pathways and mental functioning. Perhaps you work with the break outs for now as they may be temporary. Consider the Moor Mud Mask - apply once a day for 15 to 20 minutes. http://www.healthegoods.com/moor-mud-mask-100-ml-torf.html I also highly recommend you consider a chlorine shower filter as chlorine is damaging to the skin which produces more oil on the skin's surface. http://www.healthegoods.com/new-wave-enviro-premium-shower-filter.html For the fibromyalgia, consider the D-Ribose Powder. 1 scoop three times daily mixed in a glass of filtered water along with 2 capfuls of Electrolyte Concentrate. D Ribose Powder: http://www.healthegoods.com/d-ribose.html Electrolyte Concentrate: http://www.healthegoods.com/electrolyte-concentrate-20-fl-ounces-bottle-bodybio.html There are a number of podcasts discussing depression. Please do take some time out and listen to some of them - they may prove useful for you: http://www.healthegoods.com/natural-health-podcasts I'd truly be pleased to see you overcome your depression - it is possible - very possible. I'm here to help. Best Dr Ben

    • Is this safe to take when pregnant/ nursing? What amount should be taken?
    • Hello -

Yes, Optimal Fish Oil capsules are safe to take while breastfeeding, nursing and pregnant.

Standard recommendations are to take 2 grams of combined EPA and DHA daily for non-pregnant/breastfeeding women. Thus, you will want to take at 3 capsules daily - with a meal.

For those who are pregnant and breastfeeding, more may be recommended.

Please discuss with your physician what amount is best suited for you.

      In health,Dr Ben
