Seeking Health PurEnema Coffee, 5 lbs

Coffee Enemas are a natural method of supporting detoxification and encouraging healthy bile flow, but your morning cup of coffee will not provide the maximum benefits of coffee enemas. The ideal coffee to use for performing coffee enemas is one that is free of toxic substances, has high caffeine content, and is stored in whole bean form for freshness.

PurEnema Coffee is organic, shade-grown, fairly traded coffee that is designed to make it the healthiest choice for coffee enemas. Contrary to popular belief, darkly roasted coffee beans aren’t “stronger”; the increased heat and time for a dark roast degrades the caffeine and other compounds in coffee beans. PurEnema Coffee is lightly roasted in small batches to preserve these compounds which provide the benefits of coffee enemas.

What is a coffee enema?

The effects of a coffee enema are different than a saline enema. Caffeine, theophylline and theobromine present in coffee stimulate the relaxation of muscles, causing dilation of blood vessels and bile ducts. The palmitates in coffee help the liver carry away toxins in bile acid. Along with its detoxifying effects, coffe enemas have been used to relieve chronic pain, and are sometimes used as part of cancer treatments.

Not just any cup of coffee- PurEnema Coffee is formulated specifically for coffee enemas.

PurEnema Coffee is roasted using a special air-roasting process that results in evenly browned and aromatic beans. This process, unlike the drum roasting of mass produced coffee, does not result in any smoke or scorching that might leave carcinogenic residue on the coffee beans.

Air-Roasted Coffee preserves coffee’s beneficial nutrients: Caffeine is an important aspect of how coffee enemas work, as it stimulates bile flow, and the palmitic acid content of coffee supports glutathione’s antioxidant activity. These beneficial compounds are preserved in air-roasted coffee.

Whole Bean Coffee retains its freshness & potency longer. Ground coffee begins to go stale within hours, even when stored in a sealed container. For maximum freshness, store your beans in a sealed container in the freezer and grind just before use.

PurEnema Coffee Beans are organically grown so there are no chemical residues that are detrimental to your health. PurEnema coffee is also certified Fair Trade and shade grown, which is better both for the quality of the coffee and the long-term health of the soil.

How to Prepare PurEnema Coffee:

1. Bring 4 cups of filtered water to a boil.

2. Remove from heat

3. Grind only what you use in the enema. Consider 1 tablespoon of PurEnema Coffee per cup of filtered water.

4. Seal the PurEnema Coffee bag.

5. Add the 4 tablespoons of PurEnema Coffee to the boiled 4 cups of water

6. Let steep for 15 minutes.

7. Allow to cool to 98 degrees F or warm temperature

8. Pour into Clean Colon Kit or other zero toxicity enema device.

9. Perform Coffee Enema as directed by your healthcare professional.

PurEnema coffee is formulated for enema use. Please perform enemas under the direction of a healthcare professional.

About Seeking Health, the company

Dr. Ben Lynch, founder and Chief Medical Officer of Seeking Health, is a naturopathic physician. While majoring in Cell and Molecular biology at the University of Washington, Dr. Ben took a trip through the South Pacific and Southeast Asia that changed his outlook on traditional medicine, and his life.

During this trip, Dr. Ben hiked through the forests, mountains and coasts of Tasmania, worked a cattle ranch in the Outback of Australia, and volunteered with Mother Theresa in Calcutta. He lived in Fiji with a family having no electricity or plumbing, experienced the Himalayan Mountains of Northern India, worked a fruit orchard in New Zealand, and returned to America with an impression of a different form of medicine than he had ever experienced with his mainstream medical education.

This profound experience led Dr. Ben to Bastyr University, and he studied the Mind-Body Connection, Environmental Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Epigenetics.

Dr. Ben saw the huge need for people to obtain foundational nutrients, and Seeking Health was born. Without foundational nutrients, biochemical dysfunction occurs and causes symptoms. Doctor after doctor and person after person do not understand the absolute requirement for our bodies to have the tools to maintain function.

  • • Without water, we die.
  • • Without food, we die.
  • • Without probiotics, we get digestive disorders.
  • • Without multivitamins, we become depressed, fatigued and sick.

“If one supports their bodily systems, especially their digestion and mental health, with pure, highly absorbable, well-formulated nutrients, the ability to remain healthy and vital significantly increases. We want your foundation rock solid and we provide the tools to do so.”

-Dr. Ben Lynch, founder of Seeking Health

Seeking Health believes that the root cause for many health conditions and supplements stem from ineffective digestion, environmental exposures, poor diet, and lack of a healthy social outlet and inlet.

  • • Once digestion is restored and optimized with the best probiotics, digestive enzymes, stomach acid and intestinal repair nutrients, one is able to absorb nutrients from foods and high quality multivitamins.
  • • Once environmental exposures are reduced, one is able to reduce toxic burden which then frees up nutrients to work in promoting health and preventing disease.
  • • Once diet is optimized, nutrients flood in, energy increases, blood sugar stabilizes and the immune system balances.
  • • Creating a social outlet and inlet allows the parasympathetic nervous system to regain control over the reactive sympathetic nervous system, allowing countless nutrients to be used proactively and in a protective manner instead of being wasted on producing stress hormones.

Seeking Health is here to see you get better, and stay better. Their true passion is prevention.

Seeking Health is based in Bellingham, Washington and operated and managed by a team dedicated to bringing you better health through the best quality supplements, prebiotics, probiotics, and multivitamins.

Seeking Health brings you effective formulas produced without preservatives, colors, titanium dioxide, coloring, or gluten.

  1. Great Service, Great Product - PurEnema Coffee Review by R. Joel

I have never been a coffee drinker, main reason being I hate the smell of coffee. When I found that the Gerson Therapy required multiple daily coffee enemas, I became nausious at the thought. I searched on-line and found HealthEGoods which has a product tailored specifically for this purpose; I was more than willing to try. I ordered my first pound and was pleased to find the aroma not at all pungent. I finished off the first pound and was so satisfied with HealthEGoods' product and service that I ordered five more pounds.

  2. Great Product Review by Trish

This was the first time I used the coffee beans from this site. It is a great buy, and is a good product. I am performing one enema a week for one month, and then once per month after this to maintain the health benefits. I highly recommend this product! (Posted on 10/17/12)

  3. Trusted Product Review by Net32

If you're going to perform a coffee enema, you will want to get the most from it and use products you can trust. This coffee -- and other enema products by Seeking Health -- work great for me, and I will continue to use this type of detox to maintain good health. If Dr. Ben puts his name on a product, then it's a product you can trust! That is so reassuring.

    • I have my gall bladder removed, is it save to do a coffee enema?
    • Hi there, Cholecystectomy does not contraindicate coffee enemas at all. It is safe to do a coffee enema post- cholecystectomy; however we strongly suggest discussing with your health care professional before starting a new detox program after such surgery. • Comment: These questions are for Dr. Ben:
      1. If we want to keep coffee enema solution low in the colon, which position is best? Left or right?
      2. It is my understanding that there are 2 sphincters through which the nozzle or catheter must pass; the rectal sphincter and another about 4 inches beyond. Is this anatomically correct? If so, the short, straight nozzle appears to be too short. The Gerson book recommends inserting the nozzle or catheter 8-10 inches for coffee enema. Are any of your expected new nozzles 8-10 long?
      3. Why doesn't the silicone tubing come with the same end caps as the PVC tubing (it looks like something is missing at both ends.
      4. Have listened to your coffee enema podcast twice. Excellent, and thanks for the chia seed tip. Recently came across a drink by Mama Chia which would be easily used by clients.
      5. Am waiting to order until I see your new nozzles....any chance you can send me a description of these, as I have clients who are interested.
      Thanks
    • Hello - 1) RIGHT side is best as you do not want the coffee solution to get too high in the colon. If it gets too high - it will be absorbed systemically and not locally. You want local absorption because that delivers the caffeine and palmitic acid directly to your liver. 2) Yes there are two sphincters. The external one and the internal one. Solution will still pass through the internal sphincter as long as you are relaxed. Gerson does recommend 8" tubing to deliver the coffee enema solution - correct. I agree with this. The current enema catheters that we offer are skinny, made of PVC and kink easily. The ones that are coming in are able to be connected directly to the enema bucket as they are 1 meter long. They also do not kink, made of medical grade silicone and have a nice rounded tip to insert so it is not painful. They are cloudy in appearance so you can still see the solution move through. You can insert this tubing easily 8" or more as desired. There is also the option to connect the 36" colon tube to the 2 meter silicone tubing if it needs to be hung from far away for various reasons. We offer medical grade silicone connectors so the tubing can connect. 3) I am not sure why the silicone tubing doesn't come with the same stuff as the PVC. This is why we are making our own now - I'm tired of dealing with inferior products and issues. 4) Thank you. I'll look at the Mama Chia tip. Chia Seed Gel is excellent to make prior to coffee enemas. 5) Make sense to wait really- they are landing on January 15th and once they clear customs, we'll put them online. It is an outstanding enema kit and it has an excellent enema how to booklet that comes with it. The enema kit comes with two nozzles, one meter colon tube, 2 meter enema tubing (for nozzles), connector and extra gaskets along with a stainless steel bucket and handle - and booklet. Best Dr Ben

    • I am having difficulty getting the coffee to flow once I have inserted the catheter. Please advise as to how I can get a good flow going.
    • Hello - I recommend not using the catheter. Just use the straight enema tip instead and lay on your right side. This will deliver the coffee solution high enough into your colon. Ideally, a colon tube is inserted about 8" for a coffee enema but narrow catheters don't work well as they clog or kink. We have a better colon tube coming soon. Please check back in a few weeks and we should have it available then. It is made from medical grade silicone, does not kink and is comfortable to use. Best Dr Ben

  • Nursing? at 2/26/12 12:09 PM
    • Is it ok to do coffee enema while nursing? Or should I wait until baby is weened?
    • Hello - It is ok to do coffee enema if you are breast feeding if: - you are doing the procedure properly as this prevents the caffeine from being absorbed into your main circulation which would deliver the caffeine to your breast milk. - perform the coffee enema in the morning hours - make sure you take the chia seeds and chlorella just prior to the coffee enema and again afterwards in order to bind the bile and preventing reabsorption. If you notice your baby becoming agitated, restless or difficulty sleeping, cease the use and evaluate how you are doing the coffee enemas. Make sure the solution stays low in your sigmoid colon and this is typically done by laying on your right side while performing the coffee enema. Best Dr Ben

  • a couple questions at 5/27/12 8:58 AM
    • hi, i have some questions - first about preparing the coffee. so far, everything i've read says to boil about 3 TB of coffee with the water for about 3 minutes, then simmer for 15 minutes. does it make a big difference if i do it that way rather than how you describe it above? also, i've always just used the straight tip, instead of inserting a colon tube 8-10 inches. i'm sort of afraid to insert it that far. is it ok to just use the straight tip and not a colon tube?
    • Hello -

You may prepare and boil the coffee as you've read and have been instructed. Your method sounds quite good - boiling for 3 and simmering (covered) for 15 minutes.

You absolutely may use a straight enema tip for the coffee enema. You may also decide to use the retention enema tip as it is more comfortable to use and doesn't slip out as easily as a straight enema tip.

Remember - lay on your right side when taking in the coffee enema solution.

      In health,

      Dr Ben
