A homeopathic approach to naturally treat symptoms of vaginal yeast infections, including internal and external irritation, itching, burning, and discharge.
Probiotics and their effect on Candida overgrowth
Your genitourinary system is home to naturally occuring bacteria. Some of these bacteria, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus, discourage the overgrowth of yeast, or candida, in your body. These beneficial "good" bacteria can support vaginal and urinary tract health, and promote a healthy vaginal pH level. The normal balance between the "good" bacteria and "bad" bacteria in your body can be disrupted, and yeast or harmful pathogens can then take over. There are a number of different reasons that your internal balance may become disturbed, including antibiotic use, menstruation, pregnancy, oral contraceptive use, menopause, diabetes, or external factors such as wearing underwear or swimwear that traps warmth and moisture near the genital area, or using a douche, feminine spray, or perfumed product in the genital area.
Probiotics such as Lactobacillus acidophilus produce lactic acid, which can lower pH levels and protect against pathogen overgrowth. Lactobacillus acidophilus also produces hydrogen peroxide, creating an environment that prevents the overgrowth of yeast. Yeast Arrest contains Lactobacillus acidophilus to help restore balance to your genitourinary system, and to support prevention of reocurring yeast overgrowth.
Vitanica Yeast Arrest contains the following homeopathic ingredients:
- • Berberis Aquifolium (Mountain grape) - a root with anti-fungal properties, does not disturb "good" bacteria levels
- • Borax (Sodium borate) - a mineral used for its anti-fungal properties to treat Candida (yeast) overgrowth
- • Hydrastis Canadensis (Goldenseal) - a root with anti-fungal properties, used to prevent further colonization of yeast
- • Kreosotum (Kreosote) - made from distilled beachwood tar, used to treat Candida (yeast) overgrowth
In addition to the probiotic and potent healing herbs, Yeast Arrest also contains Boric Acid. This mild antispeptic has long been used to treat diificult cases of vaginal yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. Boric acid is safe and is often more successful at treating chronic yeast vaginitis than over-the-counter or prescription antifungal medications.
Yeast Arrest should be used after a health care professional has diagnosed a vaginal yeast infection, and should not be used by pregnant or nursing mothers without consulting a physician.
Storage Recommendation: Yeast Arrest should be stored in a cool, dry place away from exposed light to maintain product integrity. Refrigerate before use.

Suggested Use
To be used by females 13 or older. Refrigerate before use. Remove one (1) suppository from its foil wrap by peeling away the two sides of the foil. Insert one (1) suppository morning and evening for 3-14 days for acute infections. For chronic or chronic reoccurring infections, insert one (1) suppository twice daily for 2-4 weeks. For prevention of further infections, one (1) suppository daily, at bedtime, during menses, for 4 consecutive months. Use with a panty liner.

Consult a physician for diagnosis of yeast infection before using this product. Do not use if internal tamper resistant packaging has been altered. Keep in a cool, dry place and refrigerate before use. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest orally.

This product has been a lifesaver for me. It is so miserable to suffer with yeast infections, one after the other, and though I tried the candida diet and all kinds of herbal supplements designed to treat candida, nothing worked. It's affordable, it's easy to use (I just use it at night with a panty liner), it's non-toxic, and it doesn't hurt vaginal tissues the way those over the counter yeast creams do.

After months of over the counter products, prescriptions products, and the oral pill, I could not banish the chronic yeast infections I'm prone to. This product is the only thing that has worked 100% in a short time: 3-5 days depending on severity. It is messy, so you'll need a panty liner, but it's worth it. (Posted on 10/17/12)

I would recommend this product to my homeopath and to any woman with a yeast infection or vaginal imbalances. After using for three days, morning and evening as recommended, I noticed that after stopping, the symptoms I'd experienced before treatment were gone. No itch, no discharge. I had run into a bout of recurring yeast infections and was Rx'd Diflucan each time over six months or so, but this did not take care of the problem; it just slowed down the yeast growth a couple of weeks later, I would always feel that it was slowly growing back. I even tried plain boric acid capsules, and while they do provide some relief, they do not work nearly as effectively as the Yeast Arrest because they are a dry powder in a capsule that takes longer to disperse versus a suppository that melts down and gets everywhere it needs to. The oils in the YA formula were also good to soothe the skin as I found plain boric acid was a bit strong by itself. Thanks for stocking this product and for shipping to Canada. (Posted on 10/17/12)

I also highly recommend the use of ProBiota Woman in conjunction with Yeast Arrest. http://www.healthegoods.com/probiota-woman.html I recommend the use of Yeast Arrest at night and ProBiota Woman during the day. Once the Yeast Arrest series is done (5 nights or so) do continue to use ProBiota Woman for another 7 days. - I wanted to know can you drink alcohol with this product? When I was being treated I couldn't drink any alcohol with the pills I was taking for the infection that was prescribed to me. Im just trying to make sure I don't mix anything with this product. With the pills the doctor told me I would get a bad stomach ache, so I didn't have any drinks for the next 10 days. But yes this is my question can you drink while you're being treated with this product Yeast Arrest?

Yes you may drink alcohol while taking Yeast Arrest. I don't recommend it though because alcohol feeds yeast.

Hello,
No, the heat will not destroy or lessen the effectiveness. Vitanica does recommend that if it melts or gets soft to put it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes for it to harden up.
