PaleoMeal DF features a plant-derived protein blend of pea protein isolate/rice protein.

PaleoMeal DF uses Pea protein which has an excellent array of amino acids, including high levels of BCAAs (branched chain amino acids). It is particularly high in leucine, lysine, arginine, phenylalanine and tyrosine. It also has excellent digestibility (98%).
As pea protein has ACE inhibitory activity, it may have a positive effect on the maintenance of normal blood pressure levels.[1] It has also been shown, in rat studies, to have a positive impact on total cholesterol and very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) by stimulating bile acid formation and excretion.[2]

Finally a good tasting protein powder that didn't make me feel sick but instead keeps me satisfied and balanced. I love adding in this powder to my smoothies. Such a convenient and healthy choice to throw in certain foods like oats, rice cereal, and drinks.

I saw on another post you recommended Paleomeal DF Berry Vanilla protein powder for a child. I am looking for a protein powder for my 5 year old. She is currently on the hetero c677t protocol supplement regiment per your recommendations.
Which protein powder do you recommend for children? Also, how much protein powder do I give her?
Also, I am looking for a good quality protein powder for myself to drink after workouts. Can you recommend one that has active ingredients and c677t friendly?

Sorry for such a delay in responding to you!
I have been working on a protein powder which is simple and great tasting but it is not done yet. I thought it would be done already but it takes time making them!
I have two new protein powders which will be available at HealthE Goods in the near future. Currently, they are available at Seeking Health.
They are:
- Optimal Protein: a pure protein made from non-GMO pea protein and rice protein. There is no flavoring, sugar or other nutrients - just pure protein so I recommend adding frozen berries, coconut shreds, touch of maple syrup, dates and some Optimal Fish Oil.
Use only 1/2 scoop for your children. What I do at home is blend 1 scoop of Optimal Protein and another scoop of Optimal Detox - (we have three flavors of Optimal Detox).
I blend these two protein powders together with the other ingredients. I give a 1/2 cup to my kids and I drink the rest ;)
Optimal Detox has the active form of folate - Methylfolate - and methylcobalamin ;)
