Seeking Health PurEnema Medical-Grade Silicone Colon Tube

The PurEnema Silicone Colon Tube is constructed of 100% medical grade silicone which is very durable and with proper care will last a long time. Silicone is a safer alternative than plastic colon tubes as silicone is less porous than plastic and is more resistant to bacteria. PVC and latex enema parts can leach pthalates and adipates, which has been linked to reproductive and liver damage. The PurEnema Silicone Colon Tube is ideal for those with chemical sensitivities.

This colon tube attaches easily onto your enema hose and inserts comfortably in your rectum. We recommend using the PurEnema Silicone Enema Hose with this colon tube.

PurEnema Silicone Colon Tube benefits:

  • • BPA-free, plastic-free, latex-free
  • • 36 inch long x 11mm diameter (36Fr) medical-grade silicone colon tube
  • • Designed to insert comfortably in your rectum.
  • • Perfect for all types of enemas
  • • Can be easily sterilized and reused
  • • Works perfectly with PurEnema kit by Seeking Health

Caring for your PurEnema Silicone Colon Tube - Medical-grade silicone is exceptionally durable. This colon tube can be easily sterilized and reused. After each use, simply rinse well and then add to boiling water for a few minutes. Take caution not to burn yourself. Hand dry thoroughly. Do not store in plastic as it will cause humidity leading to potential mold and bacterial growth.

Seeking Health PurEnema Silicone Colon Tube works perfectly with PurEnema CoffeePurEnema Silicone Hose and the  PurEnema Stainless Steel Enema Kit.

About Seeking Health, the company

Dr. Ben Lynch, founder and Chief Medical Officer of Seeking Health, is a naturopathic physician. While majoring in Cell and Molecular biology at the University of Washington, Dr. Ben took a trip through the South Pacific and Southeast Asia that changed his outlook on traditional medicine, and his life.

During this trip, Dr. Ben hiked through the forests, mountains and coasts of Tasmania, worked a cattle ranch in the Outback of Australia, and volunteered with Mother Theresa in Calcutta. He lived in Fiji with a family having no electricity or plumbing, experienced the Himalayan Mountains of Northern India, worked a fruit orchard in New Zealand, and returned to America with an impression of a different form of medicine than he had ever experienced with his mainstream medical education.

This profound experience led Dr. Ben to Bastyr University, and he studied the Mind-Body Connection, Environmental Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Epigenetics.

Dr. Ben saw the huge need for people to obtain foundational nutrients, and Seeking Health was born. Without foundational nutrients, biochemical dysfunction occurs and causes symptoms. Doctor after doctor and person after person do not understand the absolute requirement for our bodies to have the tools to maintain function.

  • • Without water, we die.
  • • Without food, we die.
  • • Without probiotics, we get digestive disorders.
  • • Without multivitamins, we become depressed, fatigued and sick.

“If one supports their bodily systems, especially their digestion and mental health, with pure, highly absorbable, well-formulated nutrients, the ability to remain healthy and vital significantly increases. We want your foundation rock solid and we provide the tools to do so.”

-Dr. Ben Lynch, founder of Seeking Health

Seeking Health believes that the root cause for many health conditions and supplements stem from ineffective digestion, environmental exposures, poor diet, and lack of a healthy social outlet and inlet.

  • • Once digestion is restored and optimized with the best probiotics, digestive enzymes, stomach acid and intestinal repair nutrients, one is able to absorb nutrients from foods and high quality multivitamins.
  • • Once environmental exposures are reduced, one is able to reduce toxic burden which then frees up nutrients to work in promoting health and preventing disease.
  • • Once diet is optimized, nutrients flood in, energy increases, blood sugar stabilizes and the immune system balances.
  • • Creating a social outlet and inlet allows the parasympathetic nervous system to regain control over the reactive sympathetic nervous system, allowing countless nutrients to be used proactively and in a protective manner instead of being wasted on producing stress hormones.

Seeking Health is here to see you get better, and stay better. Their true passion is prevention.

Seeking Health is based in Bellingham, Washington and operated and managed by a team dedicated to bringing you better health through the best quality supplements, prebiotics, probiotics, and multivitamins.

Seeking Health brings you effective formulas produced without preservatives, colors, titanium dioxide, coloring, or gluten.

Questions on Seeking Health PurEnema Silicone Colon Tube

  • end cap at 6/12/12 8:26 PM
    • hi dr. ben,

what is the end cap for? i'm wondering why the tube wasn't just made with a closed end. is there a chance it would get stuck in my colon accidentally? also, do i have to connect it to the regular tube, or can i connect it directly to the bucket?

      thanks.
    • Hello -

The end cap is there because making a silicone tube with a closed end is not very feasible - and likely not possible.

The end cap is in the tube quite well and should not come out.

I have new colon tubes coming in next month which will be longer, more stiff and the end cap will be even tighter in the tube.

You may connect the colon tube directly to the bucket - or the other tube - whichever you prefer.

In the near future, with the longer colon tube that is coming, you will connect it right to the bucket. I've made it nearly 5 feet long so it will be possible to do this - making it easier to manage.

If the end cap did come off somehow - which I don't think it will - it will not get 'stuck' internally - it will just come out with the enema solution or during a bowel movement.

      In health,

      Dr Ben

  • Rubber or Silicone? at 5/23/12 4:57 PM
    • Is the connector on the Silicone colon tube, silicone or rubber (it seems like rubber). Maybe I shouldn't boil it with the tube? Your thoughts....
    • Hello -

It is very firm medical-grade silicone. You may boil as much as you like ;)

  • Cleaning & Lubrication at 3/25/12 7:50 PM
    • Hi Dr. Ben,

I've ordered a couple of these silicone colon tubes as I have to do enemas a couple of times per day everyday as part of my doctor prescribed medical program. I see you recommend boiling for cleaning, as I don't think that would be practical everyday for cleaning as they'll constantly be in use so I was wondering, would a mild bio-degradable soap and hot tap water be ok to clean with on a daily basis? Also, for lubrication, is petroleum jelly alright or would your recommend something else? Would either of these two products be damaging to the silicone?

      Thank you!
    • Hello - You may use soap and water to clean - absolutely. Boiling is not needed for everyday cleaning. Lubrication - I recommend simply olive oil or coconut oil. Petroleum jelly I do not recommend at all - it is a chemically-based lubricant for machines - not humans. I do not think they will damage the silicone but they are harmful for your health long term. • Questions at 2/29/12 3:33 PM
    • It looks like this is only one piece... Can it be taken apart? How many pieces is it?
What is the length and diameter?
Does it easily fit a standard hose?
Are there any other pictures of the product?
      Is it see-through (transparent)?
How much of it is supposed to be placed in the colon?

For home health care of a person with bowel problems, enemas are a very helpful tool, and I'm glad you provide medical-grade silicone parts. Thanks!
    • Hello - This is a 1 meter tube made from medical grade silicone. There is an end-cap that is also medical grade silicone that can be removed for cleaning purposes - but it is not necessary. The end cap can be removed and put back in - provided you put it in a safe place and don't lose it ;) What other pictures would you like to see? The tubing is moderately see through. If using darker fluids, those are easily seen. One may insert the colon tube only a few inches if desired. Diameter I cannot recall off hand but it is 36 Fr. I want to say 5/16" Up to 18 inches may be inserted if you are fully knowledgeable how to insert a colon tube. Directions are included with our PurEnema Kit. Never force a colon tube deeper into the colon. The benefits of the PurEnema Colon Tube are: - medical grade silicone - does not kink - 36 Fr so it is durable - standard opening so connects to nearly all common enema kits - removable end cap - easy to clean: simply rinse and place in boiling water for 5 minutes and allow to air dry - one meter in length allows for multiple uses - lasts for years - non-toxic We will update the product page with updated information and images. Best Dr Ben
