Seeking Health Flow Fx, 60 veg caps

Flow Fx by Seeking Health is formulated to support healthy clotting and circulatory function.  The active ingredient in Flow Fx is nattokinase, a unique enzyme derived from natto, a popular Japanese fermented soy product that has been consumed as a food and used in traditional Japanese medicine for over 1,000 years. Numerous clinical studies suggest that Flow Fx may play a role in supporting cardiovascular function by helping maintain healthy blood clotting and circulation.

Each vegetarian capsule provides 100 mg of Flow Fx NSK-SD® a patented, non-GMO form of Flow Fx.

Supports healthy fibrinolytic activity:

Fibrin is a fibrous insoluble protein that when linked together forms the mesh essential for blood clot formation. The delicate balance between the formation and breakdown of fibrin is extremely important. Without enough fibrin, any damage to the circulatory system would result in uncontrollable bleeding or blood loss. On the other hand, excessive fibrin formation is associated with abnormal blood clot formation and inflammation. Flow Fx has been shown to help maintain optimum functioning of the body’s normal activity of breaking down the fibrin component of blood clots, thus supporting healthy blood clotting and circulation.

Helps guard against excess fibrin accumulation:

Since small clots are formed continually throughout the body following injury to a blood vessel wall, the removal of unneeded clots when healing has occurred is crucial. Without this removal process, called fibrinolysis, blood vessels would gradually become completely blocked. Flow Fx appears to up-regulate this natural mechanism that guards against excess fibrin buildup by reducing the activity of the plasma protein that inhibits fibrinolysis.

Added benefit:

In addition to its favorable fibrinolytic activity, Flow Fx may also provide significant support to the normal flow of blood by helping regulate red blood cell aggregation and blood viscosity. Flow Fx has an excellent safety profile and may be used by individuals seeking natural support for blood clotting and circulation functions. Persons taking antithrombic medications and women who are pregnant or nursing should check with their doctor before taking Flow Fx. Do not use this product if you have a history of bleeding tendency, recent history of stroke, active peptic ulcer disease or recent surgery or trauma. Use of Flow Fx NSK-SD® should be in consultation with a knowledgeable healthcare professional. This product is free of vitamin K.

About Seeking Health, the company

Dr. Ben Lynch, founder and Chief Medical Officer of Seeking Health, is a naturopathic physician. While majoring in Cell and Molecular biology at the University of Washington, Dr. Ben took a trip through the South Pacific and Southeast Asia that changed his outlook on traditional medicine, and his life.

During this trip, Dr. Ben hiked through the forests, mountains and coasts of Tasmania, worked a cattle ranch in the Outback of Australia, and volunteered with Mother Theresa in Calcutta. He lived in Fiji with a family having no electricity or plumbing, experienced the Himalayan Mountains of Northern India, worked a fruit orchard in New Zealand, and returned to America with an impression of a different form of medicine than he had ever experienced with his mainstream medical education.

This profound experience led Dr. Ben to Bastyr University, and he studied the Mind-Body Connection, Environmental Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Epigenetics.

Dr. Ben saw the huge need for people to obtain foundational nutrients, and Seeking Health was born. Without foundational nutrients, biochemical dysfunction occurs and causes symptoms. Doctor after doctor and person after person do not understand the absolute requirement for our bodies to have the tools to maintain function.

  • • Without water, we die.
  • • Without food, we die.
  • • Without probiotics, we get digestive disorders.
  • • Without multivitamins, we become depressed, fatigued and sick.

“If one supports their bodily systems, especially their digestion and mental health, with pure, highly absorbable, well-formulated nutrients, the ability to remain healthy and vital significantly increases. We want your foundation rock solid and we provide the tools to do so.”

-Dr. Ben Lynch, founder of Seeking Health

Seeking Health believes that the root cause for many health conditions and supplements stem from ineffective digestion, environmental exposures, poor diet, and lack of a healthy social outlet and inlet.

  • • Once digestion is restored and optimized with the best probiotics, digestive enzymes, stomach acid and intestinal repair nutrients, one is able to absorb nutrients from foods and high quality multivitamins.
  • • Once environmental exposures are reduced, one is able to reduce toxic burden which then frees up nutrients to work in promoting health and preventing disease.
  • • Once diet is optimized, nutrients flood in, energy increases, blood sugar stabilizes and the immune system balances.
  • • Creating a social outlet and inlet allows the parasympathetic nervous system to regain control over the reactive sympathetic nervous system, allowing countless nutrients to be used proactively and in a protective manner instead of being wasted on producing stress hormones.

Seeking Health is here to see you get better, and stay better. Their true passion is prevention.

Seeking Health is based in Bellingham, Washington and operated and managed by a team dedicated to bringing you better health through the best quality supplements, prebiotics, probiotics, and multivitamins.

Seeking Health brings you effective formulas produced without preservatives, colors, titanium dioxide, coloring, or gluten.

  • nattokinase at 11/14/11 2:48 PM
    • I have a high hs-crp (14.3) and a low hdl and I also have both defects of MTHFR as well as something called Factor V. I was told I have thicker than normal blood. Doctors have told me to take a daily aspirin which I do not think is safe or good for the stomach. Then I heard about nattokinase. Is this safe and effective for long term use?

I have heard having both of these genetic defects is double trouble. Do you have any suggestions on the dose or other products useful for this as well? Thanks.
    • Hello - Yes you are correct. Having both defects is potentially double trouble for blood clot risk. Flow Fx is safe for long term use but it is not researched like aspirin. There is no research comparing nattokinase with aspirin unfortunately so it is impossible to recommend with absolute confidence. I've spoken with a few women who've miscarried and they added nattokinase to their protocol while pregnant. One was homozygous C677T and she took 100 mg of Nattokinase twice a day (12 hrs apart) which equates to 1 capsule twice a day. She had 10 miscarriages prior to taking nattokinase and the nattokinase baby lived. Coincidence? Perhaps. Other pregnancies she took Lovenox and baby aspirin both - still miscarried. Nattokinase works on a different mechanism - by decreasing fibrin in the blood. Fibrin is the main building block behind blood clots. Aspirin is very hard on the stomach - that is certain. Nattokinase is not hard on the stomach at all. Doctors recommend the use of baby aspirin because they know it works fairly well. Not many doctors know about nattokinase nor is there a lot of research comparing the two sadly. One cannot take nattokinase and a blood thinning agent together as this is too risky. I believe it is also risky to take only nattokinase for Factor V Leiden compared to a baby aspirin unless your physician is ok with it. Low HDL can be due to poor absorption of fats, low dietary intake of healthy fats or low exercise to name a few. Optimal Krill Oil may be useful in addition to Flow Fx. Consider 2 capsules of Optimal Krill Oil daily: http://www.healthegoods.com/optimal-krill-oil.html Doctors recommend the use of baby aspirin because they know it works fairly well. Not many doctors know about nattokinase nor is there a lot of research comparing the two sadly. In health, Dr Ben

  • Fibrinogen at 3/9/12 8:53 PM
    • I was curious if my fibrinogen test is within normal range - 290 - would this product still be beneficial or should someone only take it if the fibrinogen is too high?
    • Hello - That is a great question that I must leave to your doctor. If you lower your fibrinogen levels too much, then you increase the risk of excessive bleeding. Fibrinogen levels are also not that accurate of a test as I have been told - but I have only been told this by one cardiovascular specialist. Best Dr Ben
