    • My sister suffers terribly from sinus congestion on and off throughout the year. The regular neti pot salts burn and sting her nasal passages even though she uses only a fraction of the salt from the packet. Can this aromatic mixture be used in place of the salt in the neti pot? -Lisa
    • Hi Lisa - I do not recommend the use this Neti Wash in place of neti pot salt. Our sinus mucous is naturally salty and must remain so to be healthy. I have the neti pot salt for your sister. She'll be very pleased! I also suffer from regular neti pot salts so I began looking for a highly pure sea salt that I could use in neti pots. I discovered a specific sea salt from France that is very gentle on the sinuses. I now offer it for all to use: http://www.healthegoods.com/neti-pot-salt-organic-7-ounces.html Make sure she also: - filters the neti pot water in order to remove chlorine - adds the appropriate amount of neti pot salt to her neti pot. Depends on the size of her neti pot how much to add. I recommend about 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of Gentle Neti Pot Salt to this neti pot: http://www.healthegoods.com/nettie-the-elephant-neti-pot.html I use Gentle Neti Pot Salt in our neti pot at home.
