Super Green Cacao Energy Balls {Raw, Gluten-Free, Vegan}

These Super Green Cacao Energy Balls are bursting with nutrition and filling to boot! They're the perfect treat to take along your next outdoor adventure or roadtrip. They're a convenient after school/work snack, and easily pack into your daily lunch. Kids will love them!  

Yield: 14-16 energy balls

I N G R E D I E N T S

2 cups Sunflower Seeds, dry

1½ cup Raisins

½ cup Raw Organic Coconut flakes, dry

½ cup Raw Organic Cacao Powder

¼ cup liquid sweetener, such as Honey

2 tablespoons Water

1 teaspoon Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Barley Powder

1 teaspoon Spirulina Powder

1 teaspoon Chlorella Powder

1 teaspoon Himalayan Salt

Cacao Powder Coating

2 tablespoons Raw Organic Cacao Powder

D I R E C T I O N S

In a dry blender or food processor, pulse sunflower seeds, raisins, and coconut flakes until broken up. Stop the blender to loosen the mixture with a rubber spatula as needed. Do not over-blend. The mixture can still have whole pieces in it.

Pour the crumbly mixture into a large bowl and mix in remaining ingredients until a doughy consistency is reached. Take a tablespoon of dough and roll into 1-inch balls. Add a small amount of water as needed. 

Coat the balls in the cacao powder. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks, or stored in the freezer for up to one month.
