Supporting bone health is important for people of all ages. The 206 bones in our bodies are constantly rebuilding and renewing themselves, and in addition to protecting our brains and our organs, they also hlep to produce blood cells, maintain healthy levels of calcium in our bodies, and help us move around.

Bones are made up of calcium salts that form a grid around collagen protein fibers. When the body needs a calcium boost, bones release the needed amount into the blood stream.

One in six Americans has osteoporosis, or early signs of it; a loss of bone mass that leaves bones brittle and porus. This serious disease affects women more than men, but both can fall victim, and the young can be at risk as well.

Getting regular exercise can improve bone strength, and help prevent against bone loss. A diet rich in vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and vitamin D will also support healthy bones and help reduce this serious risk. If your diet is lacking in any of these key nutrients, your doctor may recommend a high quality dietary supplement to protect bones.
