Natural Insect Repellents
Natural insect repellents are a safe, all-natural alternative to chemical insecticides, and just as effective.
Heavy exposure to the DEET in commercial bug sprays can lead to irritation, headaches, nausea and more, while common man-made chemicals in sunscreens can be serious free radical generators. These same toxins damage corals reefs and the delicate eco--system surrounding them.
It's that time of the year. Spring has come, flowers have bloomed, and now just as fast as it came, it is gone. Now we are in summer. Depending on where you live, you will encounter much more bugs than usual during this time of the year. Have you ever used a healthy insect repellent? How about a natural insect repellent? Is there a difference?
Healthy insect repellents are not as widely advertised as the generic brands that are available at your local convenient or super store. The natural insect repellents have more benefits than just keeping those annoying bugs away from your area of operation. Healthy insect repellents can keep you safe, not only from blood sucking bugs that can possibly be carrying viruses with them, but the natural insect repellents can also keep you safe from the ingredients that they use.
Most, if not all, generic and widely marketed non healthy insect repellents have chemical that are harmful, not only to the bugs, but to your body as well. Too much exposure to them may have some negative side effects. However, this is not the case for the natural insect repellents. The natural insect repellents are made with all natural ingredients that are safe to use on your body.
The healthy insect repellents are important, especially if you have children. You don't want to accidentally get chemicals in their eyes or mouths. The healthy insect repellents are completely safe for use by adults and children alike. That way, you don't have to worry about taking your kids to the hospital after accidentally getting some in their eyes when using the natural insect repellents.
In case you are having an outdoor picnic, the healthy insect repellents can also be a great alternative to the non natural insect repellents. You don't want any nasty chemicals getting on your food. Keep your food chemical free by using a more natural and healthy option instead of using what everyone else uses just because everyone else is using them. If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you? Same with the repellents. Just cause everyone else is using them, doesn't mean they're good for you.
