Silicone is a non-toxic material which makes it perfect for enema tubing. Dr Ben recommends everyone use silicone enema tubing instead of PVC enema tubing. We offer PVC enema tubing for those looking for it but we prefer people obtain the non-toxic silicone enema tubing. The price difference for silicone enema tubing is marginal making it worth the added expense. Silicone enema tubing is also easy to clean. Simply wash with soap and add to boiling water to clean. Another benefit for silicone enema tubing is that if one is using oils for enemas, the oil does not stick to the inside of the silicone enema tubing as it does with the plastic, rubber or PVC enema tubing.   • Hi, Can you tell me if the silicone tubing that comes out of the bucket will connect with a regular/straight urinary or foley catheter? (The way a kangaroo feeding bag does.)

  • Hello- The silicone tubing size for the PurEnema Kit is standard. So if you have a standard enema kit and a standard urinary catheter, it should fit. Best Dr Ben

  • Hi there!

    Cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) does not contraindicate coffee enemas.  It is safe to do a coffee enema post- cholecystectomy; however I strongly suggest discussing with your health care professional before starting a new detox program after such surgery. 

    Without a gallbladder, you will still receive increased glutathione production and stimulation of bile secretion.  The differences is you will not feel gallbladder spasms and no risk of gallstones blocking the bile ducts. 

    If your health care provider approves the enema, I recommend the use of the Chia Seeds and Chlorella before and after the Coffee Enema. These two help bind toxic bile which then gets eliminated versus reabsorbed.  You may consider taking these throughout the day - every day- if your gallbladder has been removed.  Take between meals.
