Minerals Cheat Sheet

Like vitamins, minerals are crucial for proper body function. Obtained from the food we eat, they're typically divided into two categories: major minerals (macrominerals) and minor minerals (trace minerals). Both are equally important, but trace minerals are needed in much smaller amounts.

Due to the standard American diet, soil depletion and other concerns, many people experience mineral deficiencies.

As the Nobel Laureate, Linus Paulings said in summing up his life's work: "You can trace every sickness, every illness, and every condition to a mineral deficiency."
