Banana Oatmeal Almond Smoothie {Vegan, Gluten-Free}

Tapped out of recipe ideas for your favorite almond butter? Give this delicious smoothie a try. It's a great alternative to your morning oatmeal, and takes just a few simple minutes to make. It makes a delicious, filling breakfast or the perfect after workout snack!

Almonds are a great source of vitamin E, a fat-soluble nutrient and antioxidant, and contain beneficial amounts of dietary fiber, B-vitamins and minerals like magnesium, copper, manganese and calcium. They're also rich in monounsaturated fats, the "good" fats that help maintain a healthy LDL cholesterol level.

If you've never tried oats in your smoothie, you're in for a treat. They're filling and add an extra boost of creaminess, without dairy. If you're looking for more protein, add a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
